Do you ever wonder how your cost of living compares to living in another state or even another city in the same state. There is a Way to find out. This is really cool. All you need to know is your total income for the year, the state and city you live in and the state and city you work in, along with a state and city to compare the cost of living to. Put in all the imformation and When you are completely finished putting in your information simply click Calculate. That is all there is to it. My wizard then calculated and will tell you some very interesting information about wages in the city you are compaing to and which has the highest cost of living. It will even tell you what the cost of living is. NOw how cool is that? You can also find out if employers in your new town will pay you as much to do the same job. Now look underneath the calculations, there are two more areas. You can find out if you’re worth your salary in the new city, as well as, how much people get paid to do your job there. This is a really handy tool if you are planning to move to a new job market or if you just moved to a new state. It will let you know how expensive it will be to live there and even the minimum you’d need to make to continue your current living costs. It is also just cool to check out how good you are doing compared to other places. To use this cool calculator go to this link: http://swz.salary.com/CostOfLivingWizard/layoutscripts/coll_start.asp Very, very useful. The index site, www.salary.com is one of the best sites out there. I only wonder about my cost of living with state taxes and prices of food and gas. I live in Northern California and that's the worst for sales taxes and gas prices. It's difficult living here sometimes.

My husband has been to that site and its flipping depressing LOL We live in New York and the taxes here are just sickening! In fact in total...New York has over 400 different taxes! its just ridiculous! add to taxes the cost of gas, food, utilities and then medical even with a copay and I really start to miss Canada LOL

What a great link! My husband often wonders about what the cost of living would be if we lived in another state. This will enable me to show him. I personally do not want to move, he doesn't have a problem with it.

Wow, that's a great site, going to add it to my favorites for future reference. I've seen others kinda like this but think this is far better than the one's I've seen before. Always useful information to have on hand, thanks for this site.

That would be very useful if you were considering moving home somewhere far away.
