I guess I'm in a cooking mood, I'm thinking of cooking discussions tonight. I also am in the middle of remodeling my kitchen, but that's an ongoing project :) I know everyone has a favorite cooking gadget, I have a few. I love my whisk, I use it for eggs, gravy, potatoes, just about anything I want stirred up but am too lazy to get the electric mixer out for :) I also have an old plastic fruit peeler I got from a tupperware party YEARS ago. I won't part with it, I used to have 2 of them, but I did give one to my married child because I know they couldn't peel an orange without it :) What's your favorite or favorites, I'd love to know.

I love this question! I used to have a juicer and it was recalled. I miss having a juicer. Unfortunately, I have so many kitchen appliances that there isn't enough room. I have a Kitchen Aid mixer which I love. I have made hundreds and and hundreds of gingerbread houses for homeless children over the years with that mixer. Great memories. My bread machine is very important to me, as I make bread all the time. The crockpot comes in handy because I put the food in it and then go do something else. The microwave was very convenient but it caught on fire. I did not replace it. I need the space more. The one I really must have is the Kitchen Aid mixer. Great question!

I love your enthusiasm! Wow, that's a lot of gingerbread houses, what a wonderful thing to do. I am sure those homeless children love it and the memories they will always have that someone cared enough to take that kind of time to do something special for them. Amazing that's what you are! Goodness, if my microwave caught fire, I'd be lost without it. I have a small one so it won't take up too much space, but I am wanting a remodel on the kitchen so bad! More space!! Thanks for sharing :)

I've given this a lot of thought, and I think my favorite gadget is my Pampered Chef food chopper. It gets a lot of use, from myself and my husband. It very well may be his favorite, too, because I believe it's the ONLY gadget he even uses!

This is too cute. I don't think many husband's have a lot of favorite kitchen gadgets, there's are most likely favorite shop gadgets :) Unless they love to cook or they are a chef. Mine likes to cook...sometimes, he likes to grill rather. I'll have to check into one of those pampered chef chopper's, I know a lot of people use their products.

My favorite kitchen gadget is the knife. It can do a lot of things. I use a knife which is very thin so that the vegetables and fruits that I cut get be controlled easily.

I use my kitchen knife a lot also. I have a paring knife, but my mother in law bought me one for my b'day that is shaped different, it's a wide blade w/a short handle. I just love it, it's very sharp and cuts perfectly thin and easy to handle. Thanks for sharing.

I wouldn't really call it a gadget, but I use my cutting boards everyday, so they are probably my favorite as they are the most used and useful item I have. I keep it simple.

I think a cutting board is also a gadget. A most handy one as well. Saves the countertop too. Thanks for sharing with me :)

I love tangerines! Much better than oranges. Yours sounds a little like my orange peeler except mine has and that is shaped to cut through the peel to get it started.

I love my Wok. Not only do I use it for stir fry but I also use it as a big saucepan and make things like spag bol and chilli in it. It is non stick so is much easier to clean than my saucepans.

I have a wok too, not an electric one, but one that is also non stick and I put it on the stove. You are right, they are perfect for more than just stir fry :)

We have a plastic mold that you can use to make omletes in the microwave. It's really cool as I don't cook much and my son and I both use this a lot. Problem is I've tried finding another and haven't been able to locate one :(

Have you tried ebay? I can find almost anything, especially something that is an old or outdated object. I remember seeing those, and I wondered if they really worked.
