if your applying for work you have to undergo some qualifying exams and IQ test is one. for me passing the IQ test is not an assurance that you will be hired. it most likely lies on the interview that will be done, how you deal with the interviewer, answers questions, handle the situation carry more points in landing a job.

Iq tests and aptitude tests form a great part in the selection of suitable candidates for the interview, they wouldn't wanna waste time on unworthy candidates who have got zero creativity and are just book worms or nerds. If you do well on your Iq tests then your chances of getting selected are brighter than the others who dint do it as good as you

I think the IQ test is vastly over rated. It basically reads what POTENTIAL you have to learn. Two people with the same IQ can have totally different careers depending on the effort and energy they put forth.Plus,it would not feel very good to find out you were over-qualified for a position although you really want/need that job.I guess a "test" is more important than the desire to succeed.

Passing and IQ test I don't think is an assurance of getting a job but if you do well on it I think it can help. If the job requires some intellagence if you do poorly on the test I would think the job would go to someone who scored higher. The company may only be looking for one person and combined with other things such as experience, responses to interview questions, and ability to communicate I'm sure they are going to pick the best person all around, not souly on IQ tests.

I am working in a Manpower Office as one of the administrators. For us, IQ Test is one of the most important part of the exam in screening and qualifying an applicant. The reason for this is to know how quick would an applicant react to a unexpected situation. If you notice, in school when taking an entrance examination, IQ is also part of the examination.
