My Baby - baby
India
March 21, 2007 3:02am CST
Today is the greatest day in my personal life. I am a expectant father and today I and my partner had a Ultrasound done. I observed the growth of my baby, the moments of its hands, legs, its heart beat. I was overwhelmed and could no longer resist holding my baby in my arms at the earliest. On observing the baby, i noticed that the baby was moving its hands, as if it was calling me. I am extremely happy today. Can you share your experiences and make my day more memorable,

Oh, i'm so excited for you. it is the best feeling ever when you actually hold your baby! When we had our first ultra sound we asked for pictures and framed them, they line our dresser mirror and am thankful for our daughter every day. You should make a video tape for her on how you feel today, when she's born, when she walks, and other miles stones. it would be a grea present some day! CONGRATS!

Grt news!! Congratz!! I know your joy after seeing your baby would be boundless. My spouse too was very excited when he saw our babe movements in the Ultrasound. In the middle of the last trisem, babies start kicking and this you can actually feel it by placing your hand in your spouse abdomen. Congrats! It is as if your partner is able to feel the baby moving inside her but this was your chance to feel truly connected to the baby. I know when I first saw my baby through ultrasound it was the most amazing feeling. Until you see that little person actually growing and moving its kind of surreal and finally hits home that there is a baby coming.

Congratulations! It's such an exciting feeling, isn't it? During my first ultrasound, DS had his ankles crossed and looked really comfy. Now, he's 15 months, and he still likes to sit with his little legs crossed like that. It's amazing how much he looked like that little grainy black & white picture. :)

By the way, what kind of ultrasound you got? There's a new one, the 4D ultrasound where they will give you a cd not a print out of the result. By the time you come home, you can still the baby moving on your PC or on your TV. By the time, the baby will grow up, he/she will be able to see himself/herself while in mommy's tummy. Hope that's the one you got...

Congratulations daddy! I suppose the baby is your first! My husband felt that way too. He was so excited waiting for his first born son. He was the one who nrought me to the hospital, waited for me to be done in the delivery room. He was the first one who went to nursery to check on the baby. Being a wife, it's so nice to have a husband whom I will know to be a good and responsible father.
