What a stupid mistake, cost me a lot of money too!

My visa expired a few days ago and now I have to pay 500/day for overstaying. Luckily I'm a student and not working so I won't be charged as illegal worker. I completely forgot and I'm so upset with myself now. Unfotunately, the visa officer can't prepare all the papers today so I have to wait till Friday and that means I have to pay for 9 days! Now I guess I should know better. Life! (Sigh!) sometimes we need to make this stupid and expensive mistakes to learn a valuable lesson!

It is indeed an expensive mistake and as what we usually say 'charge it to experience'.

Good thing, DJ because I got a non-immigrant visa and I can't be charged with that. Yes, I guess it's a lifetime remembrance for me now LOL. Thanks a lot.

Boy that was an exensive mistake. Bet you won't let that happen again. I always lean the hardway myself. It's better for the memory. If you are not working where are you going to get all that money? How much longer do you have for your studies?

It really is an expensive one and that's the painful part because I only have few thousand bahts left and some of it is going to the penalty treasury! Darn!

I'm studying in Thailand but my degree is from Australia. It's not an online degree but a distance learning. My professors from Australia come to thailand instead of us, students, going to Australia.

Good , everybody learns from mistakes they made . your is an expensive one. Even I faced similiar situation 9 months back. I didn't noticed that insurance of my car was expired and finally as you know bad things happen for worst . I met with accident and was asked to pay some 500$ (23000 rs. INR ) to person who was injured . I finally settled the matter by overpowering the guy. Anyway I won't forget to renew all my insurances on time.
