Which TV shows do you miss?

United States

I tried this same kind of topic about cartoons, and received a few interesting answers. But now I want to know about the TV shows that you miss? The greats that were cancelled? I bring this up because last summer I watched every episode of an NBC show called 'Windfall' and just loved it. It didn't do great in the ratings, so NBC assumed that nobody was watching it and cancelled it after the season. I even started an online petition to bring it back this summer, but it doesn't look good. That's just one of the MANY television shows that loved and got hooked on that were cancelled (Greg the Bunny, Studio 60, The Jury, Tru Calling, just for a few more). What about you? What other ones need to comeback, or were great for their time?

Tru Calling and Greg the Bunny were definitely some great shows that just weren't given a chance. Firefly is another great show that was cancelled too early, if you ask me. It was just before it's time. :) I also miss all the old school Nickelodeon shows, like Clarissa Explains it All, Pete and Pete, Salute Your Shorts. They just don't have good quality shows on that station anymore.

Thanks to TV shows on DVD I don't have to really miss any of my old favorites. I was mad that they cancelled Freaks & Geeks after only 1 season though, it was a great show. Sure, it would have had its run by now, but we were ROBBED of where the characters and their stories would have gone if the show was allowed to have its run.

I missed the boat on 'Freaks and Geeks', and have yet to pick up the DVD's, if they're even out, but I have heard great things about the show. And I'm not sure if you noticed my earlier comment, but there is a great website to check out if you think TV shows on DVD is just the cat's meow: http://tvshowsondvd.com

Well I surely miss some of the tv shows during the 80's, like the A-Team. That show is great, including Mr. T, and I love the moment when they would customize things up to settle their scores on their adversaries. I also missed Knight Rider, I miss KITT, Michael Knight and the amazing things they do. I love the episodes where KITT and KARR are clashing up head-on, and Goliath too(KITT's rival semi-truck).

Thanks!;) Well, Tonberry really is one hard creature to beat. I did have a hard time in dealing with him on FF8 (PS1), didn't knew that he's also in FFX and X2. I am not that much in playing these games anymore!LoL

FF8 kinda bored me, then I lost the second disc, so I just kinda gave up on that one. Now my PS2 is broke, so I don't play any. LOL.

A TV fan after my own heart. The 80's shows were amazing, and 'The A-Team' and 'Knight Rider' are definitely two classics! BTW, I love your avatar. I can't remember the creatures name (like Tonberry or something), but I remember they were a pain to kill in Final Fantasy X, though much easier in X2.

So did you like 'Friends'? LOL. What about 'Joey'? I watched the season it was on and actually liked it. It wasn't as good as 'Freinds', but it was funny.

Hi tweakpotter! There are several shows I miss from last year. I was really hoping KyleXY would be back by now, but I'm still waiting. I was also disappointed that Angela's Eyes and 3LBS didn't last longer. I really wish The Pretender was still making new shows, but I suppose I'm content to watch the reruns again, in order, on cable. :)

I started recording 3lbs, i love Stanly Tucci, but never got around to watching it by the time I heard it was cancelled (after like three episodes I think), so it just got erased. Kyle XY, which my mom got me watching with a marathon last season, starts its season 2 on June 11, 2007. It's a summer show, so that's why it seemed like it's been awhile.

'Windfall.' Wasn't that the show with Luke Perry? I thought it had done well and then it disappeared. Recently, the shows I thought were good that disappeared were 'Justice' with Victor Garber, and the game show 'Debt.' I'm probably the only one who remembers that game show. It had Wink Martindale...

'Windfall' did have Luke Perry and a hardcore fanbase, made up of mostly women which made me an outcast, but it's ratings just sucked apparently. 'Justice' was a great show, probably one of the best this season. I was upset when they got rid of it. And I have never heard of 'Debt', which is strange with my vast TV knowledge. LOL.

I have to give my vote to the older stuff too, MacGyver was a big favorite, Rockford Files, Scarecrow and Mrs King and Remington Steele, just to name a few.
