Should my daughter go back to school?

Our daughter got a bad cold from last Monday (12th March) and has not gone back to school yet. She was taken to see a doctor and we were told she is fine, just a bad cough that will take days to recover. But from yesterday she seems making a good inprovement that she didn't cough much anymore, so I suggested this morning that she should go back to school. But my husband wants her to stay at home till next Monday to make sure she clears up the cough. What do you think? If you were the parents, what would you do?

You're both right!! Might I suggest a compromise? Keep her at home, but have you or your husband go to her teacher and get missed work, and present work for her to work on at home. This way she won't infect her class or endanger her health, but she won't fall behind her class either. I know how it is. I have a bad cold right now too.

Thanks for this, at least this is an alternative way to help my daughter not miss too much homework.

Honestly I am a parent and if that were my child I would give her cought medicine that lasts about 8hours and send her to school. The way I look at it if there is NO fever then there is NO reason for her to stay home.
