How do you promote your blog?

I need to get more traffic to my blogs and also get them listed on Alexa and Google so I can get assignments from places like Sponsered Reviews and Pay Per Post. Any ideas on how to go about this?

One way you can do is article submission to article directory. It allows you to embed your blog url at the Author box at the end of your article. Another way is to use social bookmarking. The systems like Digg, del.icio.us, StumbleUpon etc. Try it and lemme know :)
