Well my parents always said that everyone gets chicken pox once in their lifetime.Once you get chicken pox you develop some immunity to it and then you can never get chicken pox twice! But I guess yours must be a rare case that you never got chicken pox until date. But its better when children get chicken pox at a younger age as it doesn't leave many scars and heals faster. Its a big pain if one gets it at an older age.I got it when I was around 8 years old!

sorry to disagree but it is not true that you cannot get chicken pox twice. It comes back and when it does it is worst.

Chicken pox only happens once, ask your doctor if you want a clear fact about it=)

Okey i am going to restatement, base on my research, Chicken Pox usually happens only once but there are very rare cases that some people have it twice or even trice if your immune system is weak. However, they already develop a vaccine which can prevent you from having a Chicken pox, or shortens the period you'll going to have this. It is a virus and can easily spread by coughing and sneezing. That's all, Cheers=)

I am 32 and to date I have not had anything more than a bad fever. No chicken pox. Measels, nothing. I am told though that if I get the chicken pox later on in life its called something else and you dont recover from it as quickly and apparently its more painful. I really dont know if I will get anything in the future. You have a very interesting question.

no not all children get chicken pox but if you can get them around someone who has it hwen they have it I suggest you do....I'm almost 40 yrs old and I've never had it and if I were to get it now it can actually be very dangerous.....its best if one has it during childhood so dont try to prevent it IMO

My children were all vacinated when they were very young and none have gotten a serious case. After the vacination my 5 year old got a very light case that went away in a couple days.

Most commonly chicken pox happens when we are still young, but their are some instances that they will have this when they are adults. So your boys will going to have that, we're not sure when but for sure they will.

It is very rare to get chicken pox twice and it is true if it come back then it can be much worse. My daughter got them when she was 6 months old because i was looking after my niece at the time and she had had them. You couldnt really tell that my daughter had them apart from a few spots and a bit of a temp. but she was fine really didnt even go off her food..

My oldest actually had them twice! I know you are only supposed to get them once, but she honestly got them twice. My youngest has been vaccinated against it because she has severe asthma and the doctor doesn't want her to catch it. He says she could get very ill if she got it.

not all kids get chicken pox especially if they had vaccines against it. I am noy a doctor but i believe that chicken pox is not just for kids. Varicella (the virus thay causes chicken pox) can hit even the adults.
