...Just today i discovered what UNRESOLVED DISCUSSION meant- it means the discussions that ive started which i havent given a best response yet|! i thought it was for the discussions that i did that i didnt get any response at all... i have quite of those too..lol! I scanned through them and still i can't seem to choose a best response! not that i dont like their responses. Actually, Its more of they all have good quality responses to me! and i am seriously having a hard time choosing.. i dont know if i should keep on waiting or award the best rsponse right away...but my unresolved discussions are piling up! what do you do when you are faced with this dillema?

I actually wish we had the option of a best response response and a runner up but we don't. I don't like having a lot of unresolved discussions either. If I am having a tough time deciding who to give the best response say out of 2 or 3 people. I visit their profile and see how many *best responses* they have already received. The reason I do this is not really to see HOW they responded on other discussions but HOW MANY. Somehow, it's easier to decide who gets the best response when I see someone who has pages of best responses vs someone who doesn't have very many or none at all. I usually give it to the one who has the least amount of best responses because I hope it encourages them to keep posting great responses and puts a smile on their face.

Yesterday, I just tried to solve some of mine also, and I found out that most of the topics that I posted has less than 10 responses, with some none also. I just look first at those discussions that I first started, since I joined here in mylot. Those are the first discussions that I try to resolve, I even put up a best response to those who spend their time in reading my posts, eventhough with only one respondent. It is the best to give them the benefit of the doubt, after all, it's been a long time since I've started that discussion. I find that it is the right time to choose some from it, it really is relieving and rewarding to help other users here!;)

Hmm I know what you mean, I've had this problem more than once..hehe Well that's when I choose the best randomly..I read all responses again and if something tells me to mark it I go ahead and do it. On certain discussions it is difficult to mark best responses but we have to all the same.

When I have several responses that are good, and alot of times very similar, I usually chose the one that seems as if they gave the most thought to the answer. If that doesn't work, I pick out the two best & flip a coin! (Not really) I just pick who I think really read my post & responded the most accuratly.

Know exactly what you mean honey! I usually try to narrow it down to a few and feel myself drawn more to one than the others - so I go with that one! Don't know if this helps any but I hope it does! Hope you are taking care of yourself! xx
