I just like to share ..... The last two weeks I have only vegetables, eggs, fruits, and I lost 8 pounds. I almost give up on myself and just eating everything what I like.

I eat tons of rice, it can definitely be a part of a healthy diet. Especially if you eat brown rice. Just remember proper serving sizes - a serving or rice is about the size of a tennis ball, or roughly 1 cup (2.5 dl).

Eggs - Eggs are a good source of economicl protein. They can be a part of a weight loss diet.
It sounds pretty healthy to me. How do you feel? I could probably do something like that this summer. I am eating more fruits this last week, and I think I have more energy. Keep up the good work.

Thank you, you know I was on nutrysystem, atkins, you named, weight watchers, Jenny Craig, etc... and hardly loose any pounds, my doctor said let see how you do with only veggies, fruit, eggs? So, I start eating that stuff, and most likely working. Also my doctor told me to use atkins diebetic menus, they fit in this categorie, very small amount of carb! Yeap, most likely my system is different. Thank you...+

That's great! Be careful when you reintroduce other foods into your diet so that you don't gain the weight back. A lot of the weight lost at the beginning of a diet is the body cleansing itself of waste (vegetables and fruits both really help that). I would suggest adding legumes, yogurt, and brown rice to your diet.

i've been a vegetarian for the past 4 years and to be honest, i enjoy being one. i used to fall sick every now and then thanks to the massive meat intake in my daily diet but after i switched to being a vegetarian, i've learnt how to enjoy whatever i eat, even if it's greens. just make sure you have a fair share of proteins & carbohydrates in your diet. me being an indian, i make sure i have a serving of lentils daily for my constant protein supply besides relying on greens. there are loads of stuff you can venture into besides the usual meat-filled diet if you're to lose weight. cheers

Congrads on your weight lost. I don't think I could survive on fruits and vegetables alone. I like a lot of fruits but I'm picky about my veggies. I really don't eat too much meat. I do love my breads.

I've been through that myself when I was trying to detoxify almost nine months ago. It was a difficult time for me because I had to go through two birthday celebrations a week apart. One must have a strong sense of discipline not to reach out for those mouth watering meat dishes you used to love! Maybe eating just fruits and vegetables is one good way of losing weight. In my case, I did not monitor how much weight I have lost but definitely I noticed that I could now wear my tight fitting jeans without holding my breath to zip it.

Congratz! That's an achievement. 8 pounds is a big deal. Well, fruit diet is effective, but it depends on your body. Because fruits contains much sugar, some body might gain instead of lose weight. But vegestables, is one of the best. Since it is full of nutrients and doesn't have too much sugar. Yum yum. Why not become a vegetarian. There are vegemeat. If you can't help it.
