I like buying them, and I like looking through them, but I don't really like following the instructions. I tend to prefer to take an idea and then adapt it. Sometimes it's better and sometimes it's worse then the original.

I like to get my recipes off the internet. There's an endless supply and they're free.

I love recipe books, in fact when my wife was packing to leave (we are separated) our collection of recipe books was one of the few things we had to sit down and discuss who got what. Fanny Farmer is my favorite it has a recipe for everything under the sun, the recipes are basic but they are a great starting point.

I have many cookbooks but really the only one I use regularly is one called "how to cook everything" that tells you... brace yourself... how to cook everything! It's like an owners manual for food. A great gift for someone starting out on their own or someone who's trying to understand the ropes of the kitchen.

I used to buy cookbooks until i discovered i could find all those wonderful recipes online! My hubby and I try new recipes every night and most often than not use them again and again. It cuts out the monotiny of the same dinners.

even I like to buy cookbooks ,but only those which can be used for a long time to come and which will never bore you.It should have interesting recipes to try each time you open it.Otherwise I just look up recipes on the net or borrow books from the library.

I've collected cook books for a long time. Unfortunately many of mine, some very valuable, were lost in a flood in my basement. I could have cried. I've purchased a few here and there, usually from local used stores or garage sales mostly. I love to try new recipes. I have used the internet and cooking groups most often to try new recipes. And of course my addiction to the Food Network. LOL
