It has been said that the High School years are the best years and the most memorable in a student's life. Do you agree? What are your best memories from High School? I enjoyed my High School very much. The best memories I have are when I joined the Citizen's Auxiliary Training and became an officer. We had a lot of fun with training and camping and going on adventures I wouldn't have gone through were I an ordinary student. That was when I realized that I could be tough when needed.

I could say that it is one of the most enjoyable stage of my life. This is the part wherein you discover yourself and it is also the stage of puberty. My personality was developed in this stage.

I enjoyed the alot from it too, the mischiefs and misadventures I've been though along with my high school friends are memorable. I guess it was the time for us to explore other things, our curiousity to learn more mature things and to distinguish the right from wrong. I missed those days, and wished that I could get back again to reminisce those moments that I cherished and missed at the same time.

I wasn't much for school. High School for me may have been the worst. I dropped out my senior year and finally got my GED when I turned 24. I don't really have any good memories. Guess I'm one of the few. My parents were going through a long and bitter divorce and I was constantly shuffled back and forth between the two of them. They finally got it all settled but by then I decided I'd had enough and went on my own.

Yes, that was a very carefree time. Didn't worry about career or getting married. My most cherished memories are the spiritual retreats that we had every year, usually in Tagaytay City. Always had a great time. I was also a boy scout and also enjoyed the campings and the hikings. Most of my friends then are still my friends today. I'll never forget high school life.

Probably, that's where we start to learn new things with our friends. Go out, dating, parties, and so on.. It's fun because that's the time that we are free but at the same time we are not yet independent when it comes to things..

DH talks about high school as if it was the greatest time. I enjoyed it ok, but don't remember that many details about it. It's only been 15 years. I was very involved in the music program, and had a decent circle of friends, but for some reason, I guess I didn't actually pay a lot of attention to what happened around me. I found some postings on a reunion page and didn't know about most of the stuff. I'm kind of the same way about college too. Went, but didn't get the whole experience I guess. Things are just kind of a blur - and not for THAT reason!

Hey there. I am ajmccrary1986. I enjoyed high school, but I didn't like testing time. When I was in high school, I had fun with my classmates and teachers, but it was awful when I had to take tests. My teachers had a bad habit of rescheduling tests when my classmates would complain about not having enough time to study for tests when all they would probably do was wait till the last minute about studying and then they would chatter about personal things when they could have been doing some studying before we had to take the test. Other than that, I would agree that high school years could be the best years of a student's life.

i love my high school life. i still consider it one of the most memorable experience of my teenage years. I'm from an exclusive all girls private catholic school.. coming from that kind of environment we are expected to fulfill responsibilities. But still it didn't jeopardize having fun in high school. We get to experience normal stuff, meet boys through interaction. i get to go to prom with my guy best friend. I've met my bestest friend and best friends in high school. that's why i love everything about it. :)) my most memorable event would probably be the MAGIC SHOW, our class prepared a show in our 3rd year and presented it to freshman students, its so much fun!! :)) we really bonded and strengthen friendships... :))

i cannot never forget my high school days. the worst experience or nightmare i had happened when i was in my 4th yr high. there were these two non-uniformed men (if i am not mistaken, they're with the nbi (national bureau of investigation) who went to the school looking for me. they told me to go with them near the school canteen and started asking my personal details. in return, i asked them why they were there. so they explained everything. finally i learned that they were following up the incident that happened in the city library.the incident they were talking about pertained to our visit with some classmates to that place to make research works, but to our surprise, not much reference books were found. probably, the librarian heard me commenting about the money of the taxpayers being pocketed that's why there were no books to be found. this actually happened before the martial law. the investigators frankly told me that i might have been joining with the leftist group. i just simply answered them that there was nothing wrong to what i did, i was just being honest to myself. this experience i had in my high school days taught me to expose and tell the truth in anyways i feel i should be doing. i have been active in redressing grievance against local and national officials.

I guess this incident woke up the activist in you ryanphil01. The worst thing I could remember in my high school were the frat wars that would explode within the campus.

Ugh. No. Sorry :) I lived two years of *hell* in high school, being teased for being too smart, for wearing the wrong clothes, for saying or thinking the wrong things. I got good grades and jumped into college as quickly as I could (ironically, I managed to get the high school to pay for my first year of college, hehehe) to get away from that miserable place. High school taught me important things, none of them academic: 1) you have no "permanent record," 2) kids are unbelievably cruel little demons, 3) trust must be earned, and is not to be given freely, because most people will abuse it if you just hand it to them, 4) there *is* no correct answer to the taunts -- ignoring them makes it worse, hitting them makes them hit you *really hard* :) 5) what you do in high school is completely and utterly meaningless to the rest of your "real" life, except for what it might do to help you get into college, 6) once you are *in* college, your high school stuff is completely irrelevant and gone forever. I'm not even going to bother with the reunions -- it's unlikely anyone would even look me up to invite me, but even if they did, I have no use for those "creatures" :) Life gets better after high school, trust me.

I totally agree with your number 4 and 5. I tell the young people I know that all the time. High school seems so freaking important while you are there. It is amazing what kids will do to "fit in" and feel important or whatever but it is so meaningless. It is just 4 years of a very long life. Once I got into college it was like high school was nothing. Most kids forgot all about high school and moved on. You could tell the ones that hadn't, though. They were the ones still teasing and being mean to other students. They just couldn't get out of high school, I guess.

I'm sorry that you did not enjoy your high school years, willfe. If my discussion brought up bad memories in you I hope you won't take it against me. I'm sure you came out tougher because of it though.

I really enjoyed my high school life. I am a really friendly person and loves having lots of friends. I believe that's the first thing why I loved high school. In fact, if ever I would got to school again, I would prefer to enroll in high school than in college. I learned a lot from high school. Things that we don't learn from books. I call them lessons of life. Of how you make friends, learn how to deal and overcome problems, and handle different situations and face the consequences of the mistakes that you did. I am really thankful coz I was able to have friends who are different from me and with that, I learned a lot of things from them. It was a really a place for learning and I have to agree that the best years of my student life is in high school.

I enjoyed high school to a point. I had a bunch of friends in school but I don't think I ever really saw them outside of school. They were good friends. I miss them a lot. I actually just got in touch with one of them on MySpace. I haven't seen her since graduation (12 years ago) and hadn't talked to her (e-mail) in about 5 years so it was great to hear from her. Now we e-mail each other all the time. I had a lot of fun in school. My best memories are of just getting to school every morning and hanging out with my one friend outside her locker (the one I mentioned above). Then we would head to the cafeteria and have cookies and milk for breakfast before heading to orchestra class--the best class I ever had. I loved being in the orchestra. My other favorite memories were of going to Nashville (and Opry Land) with the Orchestra when I was a sophomore and being on the stage crew for our school musical senior year. That was a blast. A lot of hard work but so much fun.

High school years are definitely most memorable. Among the things that I did of note was joining a movement to help conserve the environment. We went on drives, educating people how to segregate their wastes before dumping them in the garbage can, how they could save on paper, how they could have their own compost pits to productively use their kitchen wastes for gardening purposes and the like. We also performed street plays and skits in public places to improve awareness about the ill-effects of using polythene carry-bags and the like. My high school was very active, with various clubs. I was a member of the philatelic club (stamp collection), extempore club, poetry club and book readers' club. It was a lot of fun.

I agree that high school life is the best days of my life. No hassles, no complications. You enjoy life. It is where most of my first experiences were done. It was so much fun. I can't help but smile looking back at my high school days.

High school was a great time, indeed. I graduated about 10 years ago and I miss it. I do remember my parents telling me life just gets harder and I shouldn't complain about highschool, of course this sounded like blasphomy at the time, but is spot on :) The thing I miss most about high school are friends, which is probably going to be a popular response to this subject. Seeing your friends everyday was a blast. A lot of "first" things happen in high school which also makes it a fairly magical time. Although I'd have to say, whenever I drive by a highschool the kids look way too young to be going to highschool :)

I still keep in touch with my classmates from a long time ago/ High school was good. When we met ... it`s like the years melt away and the closeness we developed remains :)
