Yesterday, March 21st was the first day of Spring, Ostara to some, Spring Equinox. The day started off pretty well... bright sunshine, if a little nippy. I was feeling full of the joys of spring. Then, I got up from my Computer to go and make a drink... yes, Mylot makes me thirsty sometimes, all this chatting... the sky darkened and ....... no... not rain........ it SNOWED, and it snowed hard, in the south of England? I was awestruck! The garden was all yellow, cerise and white flowers and it SNOWED! Not content with that, it snowed again the following morning! Some Spring... nature is trying its hardest to paint a pretty scene, but old Freddie Freeze has to let go now... pleeeeeeeeease. We want some warm sunshine and brighter days. How is Spring coming along in your part of the World?

Greetings Darkwing. In Australia it's Autumn now and the weather is all over the place. Today it's raining after being a total fire ban all day. The temperature has dropped around 17 degrees and its cold! They say that on the Spring Equinox, if you find a flat space on the ground and put an egg on it, at the moment of the equinox it will stand upright. I was going to try it, but I havent got my astrological calendar yet, so I missed it. Never mind, there's always next year! lol

Oh, that sounds interesting. I've never heard that about an egg on the Spring Equinox before. Thank you for the information... I will have to try it next year. We might be experimenting at a similar time on opposite sides of the World! :-) Cloud is in Australia as well and has been telling me about the weather being all over the place. It's been a strange year almost everywhere, I think. America, Australia and Britain at least, have been experiencing strange weather changes. Thank you for your most interesting response and brightest blessings to you, Feralwoman.

Hi Darkwing! I just dropped in for a few minutes to check on some of my friends. I have urgent projects going, but I needed a break. It would seem the same thing is happening here in reverse. Our autumn starts 1st March - or at least, it is supposed to! We've had some of the hottest and most humid days on record in recent weeks. Then we had a few cooler days and thought - with great relief - summer had finally gone. Now it's back again! Maybe we should do a swap: you send me some cold and I'll send you some heat. I wish it was possible. Oh well, cooler weather MUST be on its way for me and warmer for you.

Hi Cloud! Good to see you... I know you've been busy, but I missed you. Lol... I hope our oncoming Summer is like yours. Well, not quite so hot because I'm fair skinned and I can't take too much heat, but a nice, comfortable, loooooooong Summer would be great after all this cold weather. Thank you for your response and Brightest Blessings.

Yes, it was warm here today, Gabs. Everybody was in their shirt sleeves... well, the men, anyway. lol. I think it was our turn for the snow this year. Yorkshire hog it all the time, and we don't normally get any, so fair's fair. :-) Thank you for your response Gabs and Brightest Blessings.

March 21st... my birthday, as you should well remember. lol. It snowed here too in the afternoon. There were very big flakes and it snowed very hard but of course it didn't settle. The roads were wet, as was the grass. It will soon warm up a bit.

Yes, I can vouch for that, March 21st, the clocks went forward and it was Mother's Day, all on the same day, that year. I well remember it, Ant... thank you! lol. Naaaaaaa, just joking. I don't regret it one little bit, even though you decided you'd make sure we all knew you were there! :-) Love ya!

It snowed where I live too. I was just sitting at work all day long looking forward to the first evening in spring, but when I left the office it was snowing, traffic was 10 times worse than usual and there were cars in the ditch every where. Spring is having a very good start here, I hope it is going better in other places around the world.

Yes, Spring is having a stop and start period. First it was warm and the flowers came out, then it went cold and windy and poured with rain. The flowers naturally became battered and forlorn. Then, out came the sun again.. nice and warm once more, until yesterday! I couldn't believe that snow. Thank you for sharing... I hope we see Spring soon, or Summer will be due! lol. Brightest Blessings.
