posting links during discussions?

good day everyone.. i was just wondering, is it not allowed to post some links during a discussion? i will admit it, i have not yet read the guidelines here in mylot. i am very sorry for that, i was just excited joining discussions. and i guess, i have posted some links. am i wrong for doing so? please help me mylotians...

I was aware you're not supposed to do that. I know you can do that on your own profile page but not in discussions. I just copied and pasted this from the guidelines to posting discussions from the dont's so you will see the exact rules that are on the guideline's page to posting discussions...

Post any links promoting other affiliate programs or that do not pertain to the discussion. Posting the same link over and over or posting links that have no relevance to the discussion is not allowed.
So that right there tells me no. I have done it, so if you've done it and were not aware of it than just don't do it anymore. I have seen several people saying they got a warning from mylot not to do that. I think we've all made that mistake in first joining and not fully reading the guidelines, like myself, but I did go back and read them all and learned from that. Have a good day:)

Well alot of people are telling me that it is okay only if someone asks. But I myself am not gonna do it. I really think that if the person is really interested they will go to your page and get that information if you have it up on your page or can wait to get a private message from you where you can then give them the links. Who knows, maybe with this updated mylot thing that is supposed to happen soon this week will have some of that information. I know alot of people have been talking about this and saying they are trying to contact mylot about it so maybe, hopefully we will see more about this in the future.

It's alright and in fact encouraged to post relevant links in your discussions. The key is relevance.
If it is just a referral link to benefit yourself, then don't do it. People will rate you down, and you will also be reported. A mild punishment would be a deleted discussions while severe cases will have their accounts removed - and earnings forfeited of course.
So just be careful. ;-)

I just figured out how to do that. It makes it easier for the reader to see what I am talking about
