Why do kids pay $60 for a pair of torn up old looking jeans? I've got plenty of those that I wear to do yard work and such with,.but to them these are top of the line!

The current trend for vintage or retro jeans has pushed the prices way up over here in the UK. You only have to look at some of the prices they are fetching on eBay, never mind in the shops. I guess I should sort out some of my old tattered jeans and sell them - lol

I am retired and this is all i wear for dress as I wear sweat pants for casual..but i have 20+ pair of jeans..all kinds of brands..but no holes in them growing up my mother would put those iron on patches as she would never allow us to wear jeans with holes in them..yes, they put these holes in them on purpose.i know..disgusting habit..but that is not my problem..but i don't wear holes in my jeans and i use cover alls for work out side the house..but jeans are good..i don't think i have a pair of dockers or dress pants..no suit and tie..i go to church in good clean jeans..that is ok..i guess..it better be..as that is the way I am..

Kids this days pay such prices for jeans only because the company who made them. If the jeans is not made by DIESEL, Levis, etc.. then they are not buying it. The way kids dress, and how they look is very important for their friends in order to be more popular.

I don't know, I would never pay that much for something that was damaged.
