Why does it take my computer soo long to shut down?

it takes upto 5 minutes.

With computers being as picky and burdensome as they can sometimes be, you may be shutting down to soon after closing out any and all programs that you may have had opened. Try waiting a few minutes after closing any program that you may be in, then shut it down and see if that helps with the shutdown time being less.

that wouldnt be solving the problem just changing it I believe it is all the things going on in the background though

yep, that won't do much. its better to check the Task Manager to see if there are active programs running.

a lot of factors can make that happen. - slow processor - viruses jamming your computer's operation - too many active programs (check Task Manager) - physically damaged hard disks - and my all time favorite... corrupted windows OS. c",)

It could be a lot of things but usually the things running in the background.
