If a city can be generalized into two kinds: feminine or masculine, Xi’an, capital of Shaanxi Province, in my eyes, falls into the latter category. There’re the formidable army of terracotta warriors and horses, the awe-inspiring big and small Wild Goose Pagodas. In addition, People there eat with large bowls, drink hard spirits, and scream out the bold Qinqiang Opera. However, Suzhou in East China’s Jiangsu Province gives visitors a totally different impression. Boasting exquisite gardens and fine silk embroidery, Suzhou is undoubtedly a city with feminine elegance. What’s the character of the city you live in? Feminine or masculine? Or anything else?
