Would you shop ,or buy clothing at a thrift store knowing that someone had worn the clothes you are buying? Would it make you feel dis-advantaged or nothing at all...or you just found some bargains...? Lets hear some chatter..thanks..!

I personally prefer second hand clothing. You don't have to wear it in, and deal with blistering if you have sensitive skin, you don't have to worry about it being uncomfortable in the beginning, you don't have to worry about it being over priced... I only go shopping about once a year at regular stores (Wal-Mart, garage, places like that) the rest of the time, when i want or need something new, i go to Value Village. I love it. You have intriguing discussions, i hope to see more soon Hun.

I am not a big shopper for clothes and have never gone to a second hand clothing store. I think if I happen to go to such a store and I see something I like I would probably buy it and enjoy it. I am not a bargain hunter, I buy what I can afford at a given time and do not realy mind it being second hand or not, as long as it is practical and i like it. I do not think I would buy second hand under pants LOL

Yes, actually, I have. I've bought things that are new or nearly new. I've gotten sweaters/shirts on ebay as well...

No I wouldn't mind buying used clothes sometimes I buy them. everybody does it these days. I usually wash it. you can find alot of nice things at the used thrift store. When you buy something from a used store who will nknow unless you tell them. I get complemented on some of the stuff that I buy their. people will say oh, that's a really nice jacket, where what store did you buy it. I tell them oh, so store I can't remember, LOL. who would know? you save money, you can get new things there also.

I was born in the 60's to a large family with little funds.I survived on hand-me-downs as I was the forth of 5 brothers. We would get new clothes at the start of the school year(2 pants,2 shirts) and again at Christmas(socks, underwear).I did not feel bad about it then and I don't now.I refuse to pay regular price for anything if I can avoid it.I do not buy something because it is a "name" item.I buy when things are on sale, not when I need them. And I do not worry about where I buy them.

I have some problems about this at times. I bought second clothes for my son when he was growing so fast I would buy pants monthly. I don't really see anything wrong with good clean second hand clothes, but I do have an aversion to shopping at these places. I do not like the smell of these places and I do not like how a lot of them just have things thrown around. If I was in a desperate situation and could not afford any other clothes, like Wal-Mart cheap clothes then I would consider second hand stores. In my small town though you will only find not so good clothes. We do not have a specialty or designer shop here. The people who are privelaged enough to buy in these type shops would never donate their clothes to second hand shops. So, if I purchased any from the second hand stores I would not be getting anything even as nice as Wal-Mart.

I buy second hand clothes all the time and no one ever knows. Of course I buy designer second hand clothes and I buy them on eBay, but I have brought from a consignment shop before and never feel bad about doing it or feel at a disadvantage, in fact everytime I feel blessed to have a designer label on my body. It is not about the price of the clothes but the fact that if you spend cheaply for your clothes you can buy many more.

i dont mind. I just need to wash and clean them after. I have been having garage sales lately for some og my old or barely used stuff and it seems alot of people have been trying to be practical. I am especially with how expensive things are. Its ok to buy used clothings as long as they look pretty good still and reasonbaly priced. There's no harm to it unless you dont wash and then i guess you'll just risk finding some new health related risk somewhere because of it.

It depends. As long as it is presentable. And it is wearable. Before you wear it, wash it first as many as you can. If possible disinect it, so that you are sure that it is clean.
