Reason for failure

Well every thing is lost now little said the better.But still i feel Sehwag should not have been in the team,Ajit i dont know who selected him not a single quality ball in the entire world cup.Why was Karthik not in eleven.Shreeshant could have easily been in place of Ajit. Every thing went wrong.

There bowling and fielding was not upto the mark.

the reason is simple. we didn't play good cricket. the bowlers did well.initially zaheer was erratic but soon found his mark.agarkar was at his best. even sachin and ganguly picked up a wicket each. but most important htey were economical. in the end the target was achievable,but for some sloppy fielding the score could have been much more less. it's the batsmen that let the team down. the most famed batting lineup in the world failed to live upto its reputation. dravid played a responsible innings but kept running out of partners before his dissmissal.' on the whole it was a forgotten page in the indian cricket chapter. hopefully our players learn something from this.
