Is it wierd for men to wear makeup?

I've seen a lot of men wearing makeup lately. They seem to think it's called being Emo or Goth. If your a girl do you find it attractive? Personally I don't. For men do you look badly on men who do wear makeup? What do you think about them? I think it's pretty weird.

Me being a true man is of the opinion that men are supposed to be rough and not gentle. They should show their muscularity, which cant be shown by make-up. Make-up is for women .

"Me being a true man is of the opinion that men are supposed to be rough and not gentle" are you serious? Wow...I really disagree with you on that cause I know some hardcore men who've done serious prison time that are the biggest teddy bears I've ever known....

well, having done prison time doesnt mean that you are a man or not. The question is " should men wear make-up?", and it seems you agree to it.

Movie stars wear makeup all of the time to cover up their blemishes or make them look totally different. I do not see anything wrong with that because that is what is required of them when they are a superstar. However, I do not believe guys should wear makeup out in public in every day life. It just doesn't seem manly or proper for men to go around wearing makeup. I guess we should be used to seeing it in television, but I have never seen a man in person who wears makeup.

Being a male, I think make-up is an articifical thing. Whosoever applies it, knows it very well what he is showing to others, that is not real, that is artificial. Others also come to know that make-up has been used to enhance the beauty. I believe, what is natural should not be tempered with or distrubed. I always rate Natrual beauty higher than the articifical beauty. Artificiality is temporary, while whatever has been given by the nature or say God is permanent. I will always prefer natural things.

I think men shouldn't mess around with any kind of make-up. I see some guys wearing foundation or lip gloss. Even if it's just light foundation, an eye liner or lip gloss, make-up on a guy just looks so fake and so weird. If a guy has a not-so-good complexion, he should go to a dermatologist to fix it. He shouldn't use concealer or powder to hide his flaws because it looks pretty obvious that he has make-up on.

I do think it is pretty disgusting for men to wear makeups. :P One exception would be for photo shoots or maybe catwalks. In those cases, we just have to make allowances. I remember being forced to put on lipstick when I was emcee for a school function in kindergarten. It sure didn't taste good and I simply hated it. :PP

I don't think much of a man that wear makeup.Because i think if he is busy doing something, make up will not be the highest priority for him.

very sexy man - Ville Valo
Actually its not a new thing....certain guys have been doin it for YRS now....like Mick Jagger and Keith Richards for example, Steve Tyler is another example... that aside though, not all guys look good in make up..My husband for example would look terrible with eyeliner on and such but I know guys his age who look hotter than all hell in make up...Like Ville Valo, guys I grew up with, various musicians and so on...

I know a lot of men who wear make-up though I won't really go for such kind of guys. I noticed some guys already wearing eyeliners...ewww! They won't really look bad since it would just blend in and some of them here in my country have already started having their lips tattooed so that it would look naturally pink just like the girls. If they are the type of men who are on camera everyday, then it's really weird. But if they are actors, then I think it's okay since it's part of their trade.

Of course its weird, giggles. The only exception is when you're in the showbiz entertainment or even in the fashion industry. Gays do wear better makeup than women, don't you think. :)

I think some guys can pull it off like Johnny Depp, or the guys from Panic at the Disco, but most guys can't.

well i have always thought of these men as being complete weirdos...it's ridiculous for a man to wear makeup, after all...is he a man or what? i'm not saying a man shouldn't show some sensibility but sensibility can't ever be shown through something like this... anyway i don't wear makeup too often myself. i prefer being more natural, after all, why hide myself behind a painted mask? i don't see the idea. i am a 100% supporter of natural behavior and this includes makeup as well.
