Worlds Youngest Mother - A 5 Year Old Girl?

Yes it is true that the worlds youngest mother is a 5 year old girl named Lina Medina.
Lina Medina is the youngest confirmed mother in medical history.
On May 14th, 1939, she gave birth to a baby boy by a caesarean section. Her son weighed 5lbs at birth and was named Gerardo after her doctor "Dr. Gerardo Lozada".
What do you think about this? I think it's really sad. I never knew that a child at such a young age could even get pregnant, but I guess it can honestly happen.
By what I have read, Lina Medina had "Precocious Puberty" and you will read about that in the article on her as well.
In one article on Lina Medina there is a picture of her when she was around 7 months pregnant and I am going to let everyone know ahead of time that it is a shocking picture of the pregnant child and might even be disturbing to some.

yes, it is really sad that things like this happens.
we think that this might not be possible but it is.
i am really shocked with this issue. at a very poor age, faced with many challenges in life, she is now given another very crucial responsibility in life. fortunately she survived in giving birth, because this is really risky. i just hope that they will both grow up filled with love.

This sounds impossible! This is another proof to that saying which goes 'truth is stranger than fiction.' This is beside the fact that I cannot even conceive as to what kind of a man did this to her.

I have read the article and it is really shocking that it is possible for a 5 yr old kid to give birth. I hope this won't happen anymore to the young people of today. It is disturbing for me as a mother. How can a 5-yr old girl know the responsibilities of being a mother? I guess it is also traumatic on the young girl's part to conceive that early.

I started a discussion on this back and it is trifling how someone would mess with an innocent child.They thought it was her father but duet to lack of evidence he was free.ONLY if DNA testing was out then....

OMG! That is totally shocking, until now it never crossed my mind that a girl that young can have a child. It is so sad that she had to go through a phase not normal for her age.
