Make extra money

The term "extra money" implies that it is in addition to the amount of money that you need to pay for your basic necessities. Extra money would be what you spend on wants rather than on needs, or what you save up for a rainy day. I think that most people on sites like myLot are not looking to make an income, but rather just some extra spending money. However, I'm sure there are some people who actually need the money more than others. I'm just starting out here, but I'm not expecting to make a significant amount of cash here on myLot, just a bit of extra money to help pay off my debt.

Its a little of both right now. Trying to keep the phone bill and internet bill paid and maybe one day have a little extra to enjoy a few of the good things. It sucks buying only 2 DVD's a year (for the kids mostly) or a PC game every 3 years.... Worrying about whether you got enough for food AND gas in the car for the next week... its a fighting game for me right now. I'll be thrilled to make enough to help with the bills!

Because I recently cashed in a GIC my bank account is well padded. But I am now helping out my husband by picking up some of the expenses as he cannot afford to support this family on his income. I am unable to work so what little income I have is better than no income at all. That is the way I have to look at it. My husband wants me to get a part-time job but I don't believe I can handle it physically. If I can make some money online, or get a job for a few hours a week, then it is better than nothing. Yes, I need the extra money. We are in debt up to our eyeballs.

hmm..extra money? meaning we already enough to live alraedy? in that case it would be nice to have some extra cash for emergency. it would also free us any worries about financial matters. for me it would be nice to have extra money but hardly necessary for me to survive.
