Ever wonder who taste tests dog food? When the bag says "tastes great", how do they know. If that guy at the factory was you, would you tell anyone what you did for a living?

The dogs test it. studies are done to see which foods dogs like, apart from testing which ones are good for them.

I guess it would be easier to hire some gogs to do the taste testing, cheaper too I guess, after all they are the ones that eat it so I guess that would be the smartest thing to do....

Lmao good point maybe they do hire some guy to taste it or something. I imagine when they come up with a new brand they probably get a dog from the pound to see if it will eat it. God could you imagine if there was a good where you had to taste dog food, theres no way in he*l I would tell anybody I did that if it was my job. Good question and really funny.

I really think the dogs are the ones that test it. If they go crazy for it, then that must mean the dogs like it. Kinda crazy to me, because most dogs will eat anything. As for small animal food..people dont taste test that they go by what small animals like, and its wrong. They give them seed mixes, and small animals dont even eat 1/2 of whats in the bag.
