Can someone explain to me how e-gold works? At first I thought its something like paypal, but it keeps stressing on its gold investments. I wonder if we can actually earn money by putting money into e-gold. Anybody can help explain this please? Thanks!

both e-gold and paypal are internet payment system. Both has its pro and cons I guess but personally I prefer e-gold becase 1. It is more secure 2. It is backed by gold 3. Its fees are much much less than paypal Investing in gold is always better than keeping your money in the form of your national currency. It preserves your dollar value. If you are alert you would notice when the dollar value depriciates, the gold price usually rises. And since the production of gold worlwide does not really cater to its much larger consumption, the price of gold will keep on going up. So invest in gold. It's a great move. Ofcourse, unlike investing Dollars, investing in gold does not pay interest.

I think egold money cannot be transferred directly to paypal and vice versa. You probably need to ask someone to do it for you :) Furthermore, to claim money from e-gold, they will send a cheque to you, and I don't like cheques :(

I prefer to use paypal though, as they allow me to cash my money using my bank account.

Hi there. Actually you can't earn any money by putting your money into e-gold unless you use them to make some investments. E-gold is a kind of bank online, in my opinion, where you can keep your earnings both from online and offlines, it is a kind of third party tools to deal with your money, such as deposit to and cash out from.
