Cooking Mama: Cook Off for the Wii just came out. The reviews are not that great, but I had been so excited about the game that I wanted to get other opinions about it. So, have you tried this game? Where you thinking of trying it? What do or don't you like about this game?

I heard the opposite in the reviews from Nitendo Power magazine...isn't that funny? Anyway I haven't bought it or anything, but I'd like to. It looks fun. I haven't even played the one for the DS though, but I have eyed it several times.

Nintendo Power liked it huh? Well, that's good to hear. I was thinking of maybe renting the game to try it out first. I think a lot of the complaints are that the game doesn't have any rumble features, so it really feels like cooking in air than anything else. While I think that a rumble of the wii-mote when you chop something might be nice, if the game play is good, I can get over it. A lot of people are also saying that the controls are precise enough and then the game gets really hard. I have seen Nintendo Power give bad reviews before though, so I know they're not just giving it a good review because it is a nintendo game. Yes, I do think I will just have to try renting it.

Its a great idea to rent it first to find out for yourself if you like it. We should rent some Wii games to try them out. I just don't think about renting them for some reason. lol

I just rented the game last night. I must admit that is it pretty fun, problem is that it gets old pretty fast. MaMa just says the same thing over and over again and the music loop sounds short. I don't think I would buy it, but it's nice to rent from time to time.

Never heard of this. But, then again, we don't have the Wii either. I have told my husband it would be great to have one. Considering our finances it is best not to spend money that we don't have.

I haven't got my Wii system yet, am waiting for the next shipment as I pre-bought finally! I have read a lot of reviews on Cooking Mama: Cook Off as I love the DS version and know it will be a TON of fun!! I love the fact that you're actually going to chopping up the foods and turning the knob down for the heat, etc...I am going to buy it in two weeks (whether I have the system or not, so I'll have it already!) lol

My brother gave it to me for my college graduation last month and I find it fun, although I probably would not have bought it at full price myself. I do enjoy the different cooking recipes, although it does make me hungry.
