I know that I seem to prefer to do so. However I do not do so exclusively. If there is a better answer I select it. How Bout you ?

I do review my friends answers quite a bit and do give them the best response if their answer is better than the other ones in my topic. I do choose other members answers as best answers if I feel they have given a better answer. Anyone that replies to my discussions gets considered unless it is a really short answer or they made a rude remark or violated the rules here.

I try to read all the responses I get before making a decision. Sometimes it is my MyLot friends who have the best reponse but not always. Take your time to read all the comments first.

While posting my responses, I do give preferences to my friends discussions. While choosing the best responses, i will select the best answer.

I do not pick a best response based on the fact that the person is listed in my friends list. I choose the best response on what I think gave me the best answer, had plenty of information and was easy to understand and helpful to the question I asked in my first post.

No, not exactly but yes, okay little bit. I prefer friends who give responses and are relevant to my discussions. I prefer to pick best answer from my friends only but many a times when you can't ignore other people's response too then have to give it best response. It's better to make your friend feel little great or improve his/her rating then other people . But if the person really deserves to have tag of best response then I give it to him/her.

I haven't actually selected a best response for any of my discussions as of yet. However, when I do decide that the time has come to do so, I won't be giving preferential treatment to my friends. I think that a best response should be just that, regardless of who the person is. If a person gives the most well thought out answer, they deserve that recognition, whether you know the person in some regard or not. Just my 2 cents.

I do my best to be fair but I hate doing best responses, I always have tons of great responses (may have something to do with I have great friends). If nothing really stands out to me I look at who I've given br to before and try to give it to someone else - kinda spread it around :)
