I think it is his fault with always flaunting with out batting and bowling line up. also the reason is that he might have delibirately done this so we cant win the WC so that way Aust. can win and then when he goes to coach Australia after his term is up with Indian team which it is , he can say he coaching a 3 time WC winner team and i think it is a definetly bias thing towards Australia too. He has definetly destroyed our batting line up on purpose.

Come off it... Its easy to speculate everything.. He was just trying to put in some professionalism into the crazed minds of our cricketers.. something that Aussies first picked up and now the kiwis and the South Africans are picking up. We cannot win matches any more by the fact that we have a magnificent batting line up and nothing else.. look at the attitude of our guys??? Negative.. they all are.. look at the fitness levels..where do we stand before...well say even Srilanka..Aus is too far off.. A 37 yr old man in the Lankan team could pull of such incredible stunts on the field which even our 25 yr olds cannot.. Chappel had recognized this pattern long ago and tried to bring that in our team..and we were good enough to evade it.. look at the result!!! And if you think that such bias for the home team exists.. thnk again.. That way Dav Whatmore should have seen to it that the Bangladeshis remain minnows forever.. Sandeep Patil shouldhave made the kenyans to exit before even the world cup started the last time around.. They are all professionals..and know what is to be done If you think that everything was right with the Indian team and Greg destroyed all of it.. you better shift to the moon. We get along with the modern day cricket or we will have to see the thing that happened to our hockey.. we will be left a decade behind..

100% agreeded to what you said but isnt that the coaches authority that is given to him that the player either do this or they are out of the team. I am not blaming entirely on him but then he should have figured out that the batting line up before world cup and should have know that nothing works better than sachin and ganguly in the opening and specially with ganguly in good touch. yes fielding, bowling and batting everything is poor nad no one are taking risks or any chances and are very defensive which causes the team to loose more than win.

I do feel that Greg has not been very good, but you should never make accusations on a person of that degree that you made without any proofs to back you. I think Chappel has had some kind of problem or miscalculation that led to the debacle, but the worst part was the way he behaved in the post match conference after defeat to the Lankans. He was very arrogant and indifferent. Maybe he could not take the defeat, but it was not at all professional. I never felt he was a better coach for that matter, at least for India. Now, past is past Indians should think of their future. I hope this serves as a wake up call for them and they perform well in the coming matches. I hope they get a better coach too. A few names are already rising, like Steve Waugh, Ravi Shastri, Anshuman Gaekwad etc.

Hi, with the same shuffling, we steamrolled the lankans twice before, remember. World cup is a stage where you are performing for your country, and patriotic guys find themselves exceeding their ability on field to achieve the impossible. That one catch by murali and that single beauty from dilhara fernando to tendulkar should tell volumes about committment. Sadly, indians are never known for their patriotism or self belief. Otherwise how can a player of tendulkar's calibre let one through? Similarly, if the last wicket pair of munaf and zaheer can accumulate 32 runs against bangladesh, why not the other guys?. Do you expect a coach to bat for them? I'll tell you what, if you don't want Greg chappel as coach, fine, remove him. But you also chuck out those big names from the playing 11. Bring in players like romesh powar, mohamed kaif and dinesh karthik who will atleast show some committment and character on field.

Guru Greg Chappell has destroyed everything in batting, bowling as well as fielding. He always give wrong information to all players. He didn't trained how to bat and how to ball in correct line.
