Yesterday when i am in the jeepney, I heard someone talking about opportunities in abroad. She is explaining to a girl how she is to be paid and requirements in working outside the country. When i reached to work, one nurse in our hospital, asked to photocopy his resignation paper for the reason that she wants to work in abroad. At my young age (22) I am then wanting to go abroad . work their and fulfill my dreams. I have many plans if i can reached america. I want to go to a dancing institution where they want to employ good dancer. My passion is dancing, seeing people who are great dancer is my inspiration. but when can i fulfill my dreams..Huh....?

well, basically, its the high salaries that catch the attention of many filipinos. an average nurse here earns around Php8000 which is around $150-200. nursing aids in the US earn i think at least $2000. another example are call center agents. here, tier1 agents earn up to $400. in the US, tier1 agents earn $2000. considering these monthly salaries, i think theres no contest why many are tempted to go there. c',)

Filipinos want to work abroad due to the brainwashing done by people ahead of us or experiences that tell us that life abroad is promising. It can be said directly or seen as people from abroad tell their neighbors how lucky they are in abroad. Actually, each is of his own depending on how one defines his dream. Since history, filipinos are colonially mentalized. I mean when filipinoes were colonized before they introduced their culture and how great they were. they introduce apple instead of mangoes. they brag about how fun it is playing snow. so for an ignorant, one can't help but dream that one day, one can experience what they are talking about.
