I used to have a California King waterbed. It was awesome. Anyone out there been on one? How did you feel in it? Did it put you to sleep with the waves?

Mine's just a normal bed. My parents are using a waterbed and I have slept on it before. No big deal to be honest... :P

I never really owned a waterbed, they were mostly around when I was growing up. I did lay on my cousins though and it was kinda cool with the waves and all. Right now I sleep on a sleep number bed I recently bought, well I havent really paid for it yet since on got in on deferred payment, dont have to pay for it untill 02/08. It pretty good, didnt get the top of the line though of course that was too expensive, just got the cheapest mattress only.

I didn't have that brand of water bed but i did have a water bed. It has been about 8 years since we had our waterbed. I loved it. I don't know if it was the waves that put you to sleep but I found them really comfortable to sleep on. I wish I still had one.

Yes I had a waterbed, it was wonderful. I had a motionless with the fibers inside. It was quite expensive at the time. I loved it, oh I wish I still had it sometimes... I have to tell you this story it was so funny. When my friend and I first moved to Washington together with her son who was 5 we all got waterbeds. They were inexpensive at the time and quite popular. We had all been staying at my sisters house when we first arrived. Well we had jobs and cj her son was in school and we found a nice 3 bedroom apartment with a playground and pool that we could afford. Well we set up my and my friends bed with the help of my sister. She had waterbed experience..lol My friend was finishing her sons smaller size bed on her own. Later that night while we were sleeping. CJ went into his moms room and told her "my bed is peeing" she said "well change your pajamas and sleep on the couch" She thought he wet the bed...lol All of a sudden at 5 am I hear screaming and yelling to get up and quick. I come stumbling out of my bed and into the hallway and am splashing barefoot in water.... Yes his bed was peeing...peeing out all the water in it onto the floor....Oh what a mess..It had a leak in the seam about 1/4 inch long...lol

Wow does that ever take me back in time. We slept in a water bed when we first were married. The only problem was that he was so much heavier than me I always ended up in the "dip". We have had a regular king now for years and I rather like having my own side of the bed.

This brings back some memories that make me giggle a little bit. My husband had a waterbed at the time I moved in. I hated that thing, all the sloshing around and listening to the water made me have to go to the bathroom all the time,LOL!

I once owned a water bed and loved it for awhile, then one night I hopped in and down the bottom was all wet, after checking it out found some tiny holes (cat claw size) lol as I think my cat decided to sharpen her claws much to my delight!

Is a California King waterbed different from any other type? I have had a couple of waterbeds and used to swear by them for comfort. My last one though sprung a leak after about ten years and we got a new ensemble bed. I must admit I do miss my waterbed though. People either hate them or absolutely love them. I was in the latter category!

Once upon a time there was a waterbed. I loved the waves and you know how physical activity can be. lol They have cells know so they don't wave anymore. Darn. I do remember how easy it was to poke a hole in one. And the weight of them. Couldn't be in many apartments they had a rule of no waterbeds. Thanks for helping me to remember another time in my life.

You really hit on a subject there! I had a waterbed in Alaska. I really miss it. I had a king-sized one with drawers on each side. The headboard had a mirror in the middle and shelves on the ends to put my favorite books. Above the shelves were lights. In the winter I would turn the heater up in the bed and be nice and toasty warm. I hated to get out of it! In the summer, I would turn the heater down and I would be nice and cool, great for sleeping. I had a semi-waveless, a nice gentle roll whenever you turned over. I wish we had one here. I have never seen one in the UK. I would love to have another one!

I used to have a king size waterbed also. I loved it. I moved into an apartment complex though and they wouldn't allow me to have a waterbed there. I kept the frame though and put an air mattress in to use for my bed. It just wasn't the same though. There wasn't the same comfort or the same temperature adjustments. alot of people who visited my apartment who lived in the same complex, tried to trun me in for having a waterbed. I to prove to the apratment manager that it was only the frame and not the waterbed mattress in it also. It was so comfortable though when I could use the water mattress and the only thing that bothered me the most is when someone moved, you move also.

I once slept on a waterbed. Maybe it wasn't filled properly. I remember not getting much sleep because I had to wake up in order to roll over. I didn't like it.

My parents had one for years and it was nice at times I have to say, but if you get sea sick it is not for you. I used to try to sneak into bed with them when I had a bad dream, but it never worked to the "waves" dern.
