with all this rat poison in the dog and cat food thing going on, what if people get desperate for cash and start feeding their pets rat poison to get in on the lawsuit. Do u think people would go to that extreme, keep in mind the finger in the chili at wendy's.

I know people can be scary and cruel but I *REALLY* hope no one would hurt an innocent pet like that just to get money. I know its possible, but I am hoping not. Pets are like family. I couldnt imagine someone hurting family for money. I hope no one does that.

I can't see how someone would ever be so greedy that they would put a loved family pet in that kind of state just for a few bucks. I think that anyone who would do that is sick and should be prosecuted for animal cruelty.

Of course, but maybe they would be cruel and pick up a stray and do that, since there's no emotional attachment. Do u think i'm crazy for thinking of this stuff? Never would i do it, but y do i think it? I guess i can see how crazy some people really r!

Theres always going to be the people that run to the lawyers because they think they have a case. And yes there will be the occasional idiot who puts some poisening in their animals food just to make a buck. But they will be caught. Like they always are.

I don't think so. The companies have offered to pay the veterinary bills but nothing over that so you wouldn't be gaining anything. Later, someone may sue and get more, but I don't think so since the company had no control over this. They simply added an ingredient that they had been adding for years, and had no way of knowing that it was different than it had been before.

I don't think people would go to those extremes for money. That would just be plain evil. Our pets are part of our family and it would be like killing another family member in order to get money.

no i wouldn't but i'm just saying people desperate for cash. This lady had a tip of a finger she stole from her husband's boss when he got it chopped off, apparently he kept it, well the lady put it in her chili at wendy's and claimed she found it in there, she made a lawsuit and when they investigated they found out it was her hubby's boss. she was just trying to think of a get rich quick scheme.
