Going Digital = More Memories :)

I have been going through a lot of photos lately, trying to organize them and such. What I learned is that back in the 80s, when our family went on trips we sometimes took 24-48 pics, but most the time only around 12-20. Now that the world is going digital, I love it! I have many more pictures of every event, and many more memories. I have a bad memory and a lot of times I wish we had more pics from those vacations in the 80s, but back then photos weren't as prominent as they are today. Now I take pictures of everything, even if I know the photo won't be super clear. I just like the memories :) How about you? Do you take more photos now that the world is digital? Do you care if all your photos are perfect, or do you enjoy pictures no matter what since it means a memory?

i like it more now that pictures are going digital. i don't have to be so stiff in taking pictures because they might not turn out okay which i do when i use the film-based cameras. now i can take picture of anything and just delete it if i don't like how it turned out. but i prefer to have candid shots now because it shows the real emotions of the persons i love.

Digital cameras are much better for candid shots :) You can set it to "action" and then it doesn't get blurry as it does with a regular camera. I also take many more of these candid/action shots now that we've gone digital.

I like the fact that I can delete them from the camera as I am taking them. That means that I am saving space on the memory card but getting tons of great pictures. I still have a 35mm camera that takes film but it doesn;t get used nearly as much as the digital one.

I started photography long before digital cameras were introduced. I was still a student then. My father, an avid photographer himself, always reminded me back then to snap only worthy scenes. Back then, getting the pictures developed was quite costly to us. Now, with my three digital cameras, I just snap whatever I want and like. I don't even have to develop then if I don't want to. It's just that easy! I even plan to give my father a digital camera for his coming birthday!

I really think that digital cameras have really revolutionized photography. The instant development on an LCD screen and being able to delete, the massive photo capacity, ridiculous quality, and ease of use is just crazy. Its amazing what we can do with pictures and cameras these days and how much easier the digital age has made it.

I love taking pictures! I'm really glad that we're now in the digital age where everything, especially cameras, has advanced greatly. I take pictures and videos of my daughter, every moment I felt like capturing, I do with my digital camera. Now I have tons of photos I keep on CDs. Her school presentations, birthdays, parties, singing bouts, family affairs, etc. are all stashed in both my computer and CDs. I make layouts and movies out of them, there's really so much we can do with digital photos. I want her to remember all her childhood moments when she grows up and looks back. :)

I do love the fact that I can take a lot more pictures with my digital cameras than I did before with only a 35mm film camera, and of course I don't care if they aren't all perfect! And like you, I take pictures of almost everything, my nieces feature mainly but if I have my camera with me, and see something I think is worth capturing, I snap away as often as I think is necessary! That's the beauty of digital photography, you can take as many shots as you like. Of course I spend a lot more time burning CDs now because my hard drive really cannot fit all the pics I take...not when I have access to 2 GB cards!!! I can fill up those cards really quickly! Emptying the cards again is what I don't like because it means I have to transfer to a PC and make sure to back them up because I don't want to lose anything (Every memory is precious!) before I can clear the card! Sometimes I even buy a new card just to avoid clearing the filled one! I can also take lower resolution photos with my cell phone which I also love for the fact that I always have it on me!

That is the beauty of Digital. You can take more photos and select the best ones to print for your scrapbook. I have also found out that taking several photos of the family and I can select the ones where everyone has a good expression when taking a group photo.

Digital cameras definitely allow us to take more pictures for more memories. I often end up taking over 100 photos if I go somewhere. Before, I rarely went over one roll of film. I like the photos to be nice, but I never delete anything it seems. You never know, you might still like a bad photo later.

I love taking pictures! I don't care how they turn out and just enjoy having them and being able to store them cheaply on discs and use them as I need to. The other perk of digital is now instead of giving my kids expensive film cameras or even the throw away film cameras, I have bought them digital cameras and they can shoot hundreds of terrible photos, but enjoy doing it. It doe snot cost me a dime! The cameras were good investments!
