it depends on the occasion; however, since i am short, i would prefer to wear heels. what about you?

I wear heels only if I get dressed up. I am 5'4" and don't mind looking short if it means being comfortable.

High heels are not worth the price of bad feet, back problems, toe issue etc just to look "pretty". I bet you can find shoes that are just as stylish and better for your feet (and more comfortable). Plus I don't dress up at all, so I don't feel the need to wear heels.

Well, I would prefer heels. However I broke my ankle in a car wreck a few years ago & I cant wear hills now. it kills my ankle. So I prefer heels, if i could wear them, but since i cant i wear flats.

I have run the gamut on this, starting with high heels as a teenager (even though I stand 5'9" in bare feet!) and gradually going down to more and more sensible heels and then flat as much as I could get away with. Lately I've started wearing at least a little heel again, just because it feels good. I even bought a couple of pair with much higher heels than I've worn in a long while, and I'm having fun with them.

5'9 in bare feet, huh? lucky you! heels or flats, so long as you're comfortable, right? thanks for your reply.

It depends on the occassion...but i love wearing casual shoes over the day but if going to work means much presentable heeled shoes...
• Philippines

yeah. in my office, we're required to be in heels, too.

Because you looked sexy in high heeled shoes and that's a plus factor when you're working. You need to be presentable all the time...

It depends on the occassions. Like what should go good with what kind of outfit you are wearing and going. It all depends on these things. There are some girls in ma office who wear almost 4inches of heels just to show that they are tall enough. I just cant stop laughing when i see girls with so big heels.

I'm a shorty too so I really like heels. But so many times they really hurt your feet. I have blisters right now from particularly painful shoes... but they're so cute!

oh-oh. so, you're sacrificing comfort for fashion, huh? hehe. thanks for responding.

I agree - it toally depends on the ocassion. I am short but I find that if I wear heels the bottom of my feet absolutely kill for days afterwards so I prefer spending the majority of my time in flat shoes. I only wear heels whe I go out for a meal or an interview.

yeah, because flats wouldn't go well with a business suit, right? thanks for your response.

I have a bad back and flats are painful and a strong heel is too. I find a suttle heal puts a slight arch to the back helping posture and making walking easier. About an inch for me any more and it is to much.

yeah, the wearing of heels isn't advisable for those with bad backs, as it would aggravate the pain. thanks for your response.

When I was younger I preferred heels. However, as I've grown older, I'm more into the comfort of flats.

It depends on what occassion or event you are into. For special occassions i prefer to wear to heels to match with the gown. For casual times like going to the groceries, shopping, night outs, i prefer to wear flat shoes. When at work i usually wear medium sized heels, 1 to half inch will do.

Although I LOVE pretty shoes, and would love to wear heels, I have to always wear flat shoes because of my bad back! :(

got a good point there. i get back pains, too, so perhaps, i should really be wearing flats more often now.
