Do you think we can say there is a breed of cats that are the nicest and the meanist? Or do you think it is based on something else? What makes a cat nice and what makes him/her mean?

They say a lot of a cat's temperament has to do with the breeding. Many cats have been inbred with family members to maintain their purity. Thusly, this is why I believe Persians have the worst tempers. I personally prefer a mutt of a cat. One with no lineage. Your average tabby or tomcat seem to have the most loving temperament. Siamese are very loving also, if you can stand their constant crying. They're starved for attention. No matter how much you give them. ‹(°o°

I like all kind of breeds, I think cats sometimes become mean, because they are very independent and then we force ourselves on them, and they get irritated! But I must admit I have seen some cats that are definitely more friendlier and loving than others, maybe it all boils down to breed, I don't know.

I can only go off what I know. But I have had Russian Blues for many years and I cannot fault them in any way. To me , being bias I would have to say they are the best. On the other hand I know people and have heard stories about Siamese cats, they are nasty little things.

I lkove persian cats when I see a cat I tend to look if they are fluffy and shiny hair and that is what I like the most.

I had a Scottish Fold that was the sweetest cat. She was a calico with the folded ears -- adorable and very smart and in tune with my feelings. She passed away on me two years ago and I haven't gotten over her yet. I wish I could replace her.
