Harry Potter...i guess all the books in the Harry Potter series. It really captures the imagination in that i can actually picture in my mind the words on the pages. I have read most of these books before the movies came out, so after watching the movie, there are some scenes that are so familiar because it was shot the way i had pictured it while reading the book. I hope JK Rowlings writes more books of the caliber of Harry Potter as i believe the latest book coming out this year is the last of the series.

It was a brilliant novel filled with irony. Have you read any of Kafka's other works? I have The Trial on my pile of to-be-read books.

My favorite book is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams. I always enjoy that book no matter how many times I read it.

The Dream of red Chambers...It is one of the best work in the world. But without a Chinese background and character, you can hardly understand it.

The best book that I have ever read is the Holy Bible which is complete from the very beginning up to the end of the world. It's just one but it consists of 66 exciting books and we learn everything that we need in our life here on earth.

The best book I've ever read so far is a novel called Atonement, written by Ian McEwan. No other book I've read matches it in terms of lyrical prose, gripping story, emotional resonance and most importantly, it gets you thinking about your own existence. A true classic.

Hello! My favorite book is "The Sky Is Falling" by Sidney Sheldon. I love Dana Evans, the main character of the book. Maybe because I'm like her. Inquisitive. =)

That is a difficult question. That's like saying, if you were on a desert island and could have only one book, which book would it be? My favorites change each time I read a new book, but I'll think hard and dig deep. I know after I post an answer, I'll think of something else I should've posted. I'm going to use the "aaah" factor. A book that has made me sigh, because the writing was so good, the characters 3-dimensional,made me sad that the book has ended. I'd have to say (today) The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I like it so much, that I've named two of my cats after characters--Daisy and Gatsby.
