Unfortunately I did take money from my parents. In middle school we had what was called dohnut day. Every Wednesday morning, the cafeteria would buy Dunkin Dohnuts and we would be able to buy them for $.50. Of course that isn't a lot of money but when you are 12-13 years old you don't have any money. My mom used to keep a jar full of change in her room. Every Wednesday, I would go in her room and steel at least a $1.50 because I would want two dohnuts and then of course a milk or juice to wash them down. She would notice that her money was diminishing slowly but surely, and I never said a word. It was probably about four or five years later that I finally admitted to steeling her money. I told her why and she got a good laugh out of it! We both did.

wow!It seems that we are all the same when we are small. The temptation of a lollipop is just too much to bear and we seem so impatient to wait for the next time that we shall get the money from our parents. I particularly remember one day that i 'took' money and was caught by my mum.I got a very bad whopping that made me stop that behaviour once and for all.

Actually sometimes, parents leave money where their kids could see it. it will serve as a tempatation but will also help in increasing emotional quotient (EQ) of the child. The focus should be educating the child about that practice

Oh, yes. I remember when I was 5 or 6 there's this candy I like very much. I saw some coins on the table and bought the candy. Later on my mother was looking for the coins and I denied I ever get them. I don't remember any spanking or anything but I know that my mother suspects me at the time.

I did when I was little and Im so not proud of it! It is a crime, But you know I wouldnt think twice of steeling from anyone or anything! I had someone steel my child support money of 100 that for my children and I was stunned that someone I know and allowed in my home would do such a thing. But then I had to sit back and think... who hasnt? most of us are guilty of this. fortunately for me it was a passing thing. i now know the value of money and i would get really pissed off if some one would just take it for no reason.
