Any experience with Hoodia

I get spammed in my email box all the time about Hoodia, and apparently Oprah and other TV shows have touted it as the next miracle weight loss product. I understand there are some counterfeit Hoodia drugs being sold as well. I'm interested in hearing experiences from those who've used Hoodia. Was it effective? Were there any side effects? Do you recommend it?
