What shampoo are you using?

I love my hair so much. I take extra effort in taking care of my hair. I usually spend a lot of my allowance in salons just to have my hair treated. So i'm sensitive in choosing my shampoo. I love the finness shampoo. How about you? What extra care do you do for your hair?

Im using Palmolive Natural shampoo with conditioner..It has long lasting fragrance..It is for dry/coarse hair..I use this shampoo because it is pure milk protein and coco cream..The extra care I do with my hair is I go to salons for rebond and hair spa because my hair is wavy..

I also like the smell of palmolive since my auntie is using it but unfotunately, im allergic to the ingredients palmolive is using. Most especially the white one (with coconut). I always get ichy red spots in my hands after using the shampoo. Hair spa is good for your hair. Don't have your hair rebonded too much. It will make your hair fragile. Have you tried the eclipse hair vitamins?

I have dandruff problem and when i used Head & shoulders it reduces dandruff, but hair fall doesn't stops. Then i consulted a doctor and he recommended me to go for Herbal products like Himalayas Anti Dandruff. Then now i feel its good and my hair fall stops gradually. Himalayas has many types of products for Dandruff control, silky hair, etc.

I love my hair too. I had it relaxed and I am so satisfied with the results. But because of the treatment, my hair become prone to breakage. And I am having problems with dandruff too. Now, I am using Sunsilk Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. I like it. Sometimes, I use Pantene Age-defying shampoo. Both shampoo works well for me. Occassionally, I use Nizoral for dandruff treatment.

Thank you for your tips. I will try to check the salons here if they offer those services. It's kinda hard living here when it comes to those things. The services offered here are really limited.

You're very much welcomed. :)

Yeah, hair is rpone to breakage when relaxed. I had split ends before due to hair straightening (though i already hav straight hair). All you need is a shampoo that can make your hair stronger, like pantene and sunsilk green. You can also have protein or keratin treatment in the salon because it can help your hair be stronger and shinier. :)

I buy my shampoo and conditioner from Going Straight, it is a salon in the Philippines. I love my hair as well, but i don't really take extra care. I expect it to take care of it self after the shampoo, conditioner and the blower, its on its own. Unlike my roommate, gosh, i think she whorships hers.

I use 3 different shampoos. Suave Kids' Watermelon, Denenes Baby Shampoo and Sunsilk Summer Fresh. I don't know why but I use Sunsilk Summer Fresh every summer since it's been out in the market, it's really refreshing especially when you're in the beach. I regularly use baby shampoos because I have a bad case of falling hair so I thought baby shampoos are milder it might reduce my falling hair but with no effect still. It's ok. I love Suave Kids' fragrance.

Yeah kinda. But if you really want a cool feeling in your scalp then you should try the head and shoulders ocean fresh. I think it's the blue one. But i hope your hair won't fall. hehe

aviance antidandruff shampoo followed by aviance conditioner. i have a very sensitive scalp and have a great tendency of developing dandruff. initially i used candid tv, a medicated shampoo for dandruff but that made my hair really dry, i used to hate my own hair.... then i tried nizoral, it was ok and after that aviance.. it is great, it suits me and my hair feel full of life.

As far as i know, anti dindruff shampoos are not supposed to stay long in the scalp cause it can really cause dryness. Nizoral is a good product. :) And Aviance, i never heard of it before. How long have you been using it?

i use VO5 for normal hair but i interchange it with sunsilk, the one with watermelon effect. it is so refreshing and its cool in the scalp. i like the feeling so much that i also use the conditioner. i feel that my hair is easier to manage and i don't usually have bad hair days.

I see. Haven't you tried sunsilk before? It's a nice brand of shampoo. Are you a guy? Cause i dont think that this shampoo work well with guys since it doesn't have a long lasting fragrance but it keeps your hair soft. Rejoice is a good brand too.

I used it befOre because i like the feeling it brings in my scalp. But it didn't take long because it makes my hair dry and unmanageable. It's good to the scalp but not to my hair.

I am fan of the same famous PANTENE pro-V. It makes my hair silky and nice. Also, hair becomes shiny. In conjuction with pantene, I use FLEX conditioner. The combination is awesome. Try it out!

I want to try it out but i think there is no FLEX conditioner available here in the philippines. But i'll look for it in the market. :) Thanks!

I use Pantene Glossy Shine for my shampoo and Cream Silk (sky blue) for my conditioner. Weird combination eh?
• Philippines
25 Apr 07
Hmmm. Hehe, i think it's a good combination because pantene will give the glossy shine in your hair while creamsilk blue will give the protection for your hair. Am i right? hehe.

i use different shampoos. i like head and shoulders and pantene. i also like sunsilk summer fresh shampoo and conditioner. in taking care of my hair, i don't get my hair treated, i'm afraid of using chemicals in it. I don't even blow dry my hair, i let it dry naturally.

Well, it's nice that you try varieties of shampoos. But be aware! Sometimes applying different formulas on your hair may have side effects. One of my friends got bald.
• Philippines
25 Apr 07
I see. Actually, there's nothing wrong in having your hair treated as long you know the intervals of each treatment. Not all chemicals are bad for the hair. Shampoos and conditioners are also considered chemicals right?. Relax, rebond and hair straight treatment will take you about 6 months before you treat them again with the same chemicals. Hair spa, hot oil are the ones that can be done every month. Sometimes, using chemicals in the hair is also a part of taking care of it. :)

I guess you have alot of money for the salon, right? Well, I just visit a salon whenever my hair needs to be trimmed. Good for you that you have the chance to give extra care for your hair. Anyway, right now I am using two shampoos. One is the head and shoulder mint, I use this whenever I feel I have dandruff. And the second one, Palmolive Naturals Pink, I love the scent and it makes my hair soft and smooth.
• Philippines
11 Apr 07
No not really. We're not that rich. I just force my parents to give me extra allowance for something but i never told them that i'm using the money for the salon. haha! Anyways, I think head and shoulders is a good product since most of the response are for H&D. I also like the scent of Palmolive Pink especially the color of the bottle because it's cute. hehe. But i never used it because as i said in my previous comment that i'm allergic to the chemicals that palmolive is using in their products. But i really like the scent of all their products and it stays long in the hair. Some of classmates use it.

Well, boys doesn't have to be really concern for their hair except those posers who tries to be emo or something. For me, I use any kind of shampoo just as long it smells good. Usually, I use Head & Shoulders because the smell of H&S is really meant for the hair of boys. After bath, I just comb my hair using my hand hehe. - Ron Reyes www.ronreyes.co.nr
