Sibiling Rivalry

Hello everyone. Have you come across situations where your sisters resent or almost hate you for the fact that you love doing household chores. Love keeping your room clean and tidy. Because though i never did anything just to spite my sisters they always felt i did the chores just to give them a 'bad name' they were called unhelpful and lazy!! Because i have this habit of clearing up after everyone so my parents always felt i was the 'good' one but belive me for a long time i never realized people can actually resent you for it!!...My friends have no issues about it though. In fact they have fun.... where someone wud just drop by my desk and leave a coffee cup on the table and even if iam talking to them or doing my work i will automatically chuck the cup in the dustbin and they wud end up laughing b'cos thats exactly what they were expecting or they wud bring someone new and then when i do the chucking they will laugh and sy 'i told you so' but at home my sisters almost hate me for it so i have lost the enthusiam to clear up most times i have to literally stop myself from cleaning after everyone....any ideas how to deal with it

I had same problem and I have suffered a lot. I was very good in academics but was very lazy to clean my cupboards and room. I never arranged my books and copies . I wastoo lazy to even arrange my clothes and I was punished for this from my childhood.
On other hand my brother was medicore in studies but was very punctual about keeping his almirahs and room clean . He created a lot of problems for me as I was very naughty in childhood.

i think you have started the discussion just what i wanted to start a few minutes back. its very much true that sibling rivalry exists in i think 95 percent of families.
i also face some problems at times because i keep my room very neat n tidy , things at there proper place, no jumbbled up things, and my younger sis is just the opposite of it. so some times i get panicy in that situation and feel difficult to deal with it. now i m married so i m least bother about the things but then too if i visit my place n see things that way i feel bad but now i have lost all my interest and enthusiasm in cleaning and maintaining it. now i have face a sitiation here too at my place its sometime like hell .

thats nice:) i mean atleast you are not facing the problem now but has it ever reached a time when you were almost hated for it? and how did you deal with it.....
