What if God?

What if God came to you and showed you a portion of your life and what the future would hold? Would it be hard for you to understand why and accept it? Even if it meant going through the worst time of your life would you hold fast to your faith and trust God? Allowing things to crumble around you at God's will and wondering when he would finally bring you back up. This would be a compelety true test of one self! What do you think?

I would prefer not to know my future. I do know that God holds the future and because Christ is Lord and Savior of my life, I have no reason to be afraid of the future. I know I will go thru some difficult times, but I also know that God has wonderful things in store for me. He is so good! God bless.

I can relate. Sometimes things get so hard that we just want to give up. We have no energy or strength left. But we have to remember (I tell myself this a lot!) that in our weakness, HE is strong. We have to put everything into God's hands and trust in Him. Sometimes it is a long, hard road..but in the end, it all works out. I tend to worry about things and I have to remind myself over and over that God is in control and He will take care of all things if we will just let Him and trust in Him. So much of our time is so wasted on worry! I've worried so much throughout my lifetime it is terrible! I've learned that no matter what, God will always come thru for me. I just have to keep reminding myself of that! lol! God bless.

I would not want to know the future as well, I was told about some of my future over 7 years ago. My husband just did finally give into God's will and give his life to him. Ever aspect was not shown to me but, I was told that our Daughter would be sick in order for her daddy to believe in him and in the end every thing would be o.k. Yes it has been a long road and I did make mistakes but, over all trying to stand fast to faith for God is faithfull was the hardest. There were so many times I wanted to give up and times that I tried to press it along. I let at times my own will get in the way, instead of just relying on God. People do get visions that is why we have the Bible. The ones that God gave visions to wrote his word.

I believet the same, even if our will gets in the way at times. God's will still completes his perfect plan for us. It may or may not take longer to complete but, he does follow through with his promises.

It would be very hard to understand but I would just have to accept it knowing that he would not do anything to harm me. I think that God only gives us what we can handle. It is a true test of our faith in him. I have been through alot of hard times in my life and I have worried myself sick over bills and things of that nature. God always lets me feel like that and worry, butin the end he is always there to help me get through each and every thing that is presented to me. I think we are all put through tests every day of our lives. We just have to choose if we want to pass or fail. It is all up to us.

You are absolutely right, God did tell us that we would have trials and temptations to deal with. It is weither or not we choose to follow through with what we believe or not. If we truly believe in him or if we are just protesting it(taking God's name in vain). We all have to endure such things in life, yes we all walk different paths. But we all do have a meaning for our lives and who we are.

I'd have to say that I truly wouldn't want to see what the future holds. Even though some may say they would hold fast and go through whatever God has intended for us, if you know in advance, you may always want to try to stop it from happening. it's just human instinct to survive. I do trust that everything happens for a reason, both the good and bad. I know first hand that I have learned more from the bad experiences in my life. However if God were to show me that I would lose my job for example, and go through financial difficulty. I may, without even realizing it, start to try to do a better job, or start looking for another job. I'd like to say I'd just endure, but in all honesty, I just can't.

I can understand what you are saying about trying to stop or avoid the situation. I have been told a portion of my life from God. He told me about my daughter's illness before she was born. I did try to search for what it was and tried to convience the doctors that she was sick before God's timing. When I finally didn't think I would ever find a diagnosis is when she was diagnosed. It had to be on God's timing and not mine. Therefore I had to let God control the will. We as people are granted our own will and it is so hard as a person to let go of our own and to give in to his. What he did tell me came true and the other things that he told me did as well. Now I do not know what is in my future now though I just knew I was going to have a sick child and that in the end every thing would be o.k. Best wishes to you.
