Who do you turn to first?

In a conversation at work the other day one fellow commented, "I just don't understand these folks that pray about every little thing", and it got me to thinking - "Who do you turn to first?" (myself included in the question, of course) A Doctor, or God? A therapist, or God? An accountant, or God? A tax-man, or God? A loan officer, or God? A credit card, or God? A credit report, or God? A real estate agent, or God? A lawyer, or God? A pastor, or God? A friend, or God? Your Mom, or God? Your Dad, or God? Your "gut", or God? No, I'm not talking about what colour to paint the living room, what to fix for dinner, or what kind of flowers to plant out front (though there's certainly nothing wrong in praying about these). I'll certainly have to admit, after some examination, that there are some things I decide upon without going to God, first. Just thinking aloud.

A Doctor, or God? -- myself A therapist, or God? -- niether lol..friends A lawyer, or God? -- friends, the the Goddess.. A pastor, or God? -- the Goddess.. A friend, or God? -- usually friends, but sometimes not Your Mom, or God? -- Goddess Your Dad, or God? -- Goddess Your "gut", or God? -- the intuition AND the Goddess lol. It all really depends on the situation.

Doctor, or God. first my own knowledge, then a doctor. Therapist or God Friends. then the Gods. Financially. I do my best. occasionally get a little help from family. my Gut, or God. my gut is pretty reliable. if I feel something strongly, I don't need to check it with higher powers. it's instinct. so who do I turn to first? I turn to myself.

I dont turn to anyone other than me first....or rather my gut instinct THEN I'll maybe look for outside input but it would depend on the topic at hand really....Even when I was a Christian I often went with my gut first (though not always)

Boy, the fellow you are talking about would really think I'm crazy. I talk to my Gods about everything, all the time. I can't imagine making any kind of real decisions in my life without doing so, or not relating things I'm thinking or feeling to them. I treat them just like I would a parent or friend whose opinion I value. =)

Apparently he seems to be right but it is just our little mind that csn't understand the greatness of God.Its just a gift from Him that He sent these people around us to help us yet they can help only by God's concent, doctor can give us medicine but can't cure us as he has no powers to do so ,its God who cures us if the doctor has the powers to do so why can't he save a person from dying, its not that his heart failed but its becqause of Allah's will.He put softness and love in mothers heart so that she can bring up her children very well. Its just the lacvk of our understanding.Allahg said in qURAN;(2:21)"O MANKIND!SERVE YOUR FOSTERER WHOI CREAYTED YOU AND THOSE BEFORE YOU, SO THAT YOU MAY SAVE YOURSELVES (from the punishment)"

Like He said about the love between huisband and wife in Al-quran(30:21);"AND AMONG HIS SIGNS IS THAT HE CREATED FROM AMONG YOURSELVES MATES FOR YOU THAT YOU MIGHT FIND TRANQUILITY IN THEM, AND HE PLACED BETWEEN YOU LOVE AND MERCY.CERTAINLY THERE ARE SIGNS IN THAT FOR A PEOPLE WHO REFLECT."
