I am sorry to say that at this time my networth is not what I want it to be, but I have just learned how to get my networth up, up up!! Do you know what your networth is? Do you know how to figure out what your networth is? You have to figure out the value of everything you own, plus your income. Subtract what goes out monthly on bills and other things. What you have left over is your networth. So, are you happy with your networth? Are you taking the steps to increase it? Do you know how?

Your question has made me step back and refocus on my networth. Personally I believe in order to have a higher networth will depend on your attitude/respect towards yourself, others and life. If you don't love yourself, you tend to neglect the things you should have. If you don't love and or respect others, you will be all alone with no love and help from people around you, and if you don't love life, well then... What can I say. A person's networth will depend on how much one enjoys living.

i mean if you are looking at your networth as far as life then i think you are on the right track, but when i said networth i meant once you add up everything you own, plus salary and any other moneies coming in, minus your expense what do you have left over. that is your networth

So what are you doing to change that? What is your Commitment to yourself to get it where you want it to be?

your networth is all of your income and assets. what you are talking about is your monthly income.

What a question? At this stage of the game, studying our networth, since we are preparing for retirement in a few years, we have recently had to sit down with our broker and find out what our networth really was. I have to say it looks pretty good. Our real networth compared to our financial status is amazing. It's interesting to note that your networth doesn't always reflect who you are, or how you live. My husband made a comment. 'It's sad when you are worth more on paper than you are in real life'. Our networth is actually pretty astounding. Our home, personal items, stocks and bonds, retirement accounts and savings add up to a healthy chunk of change, all there for future years. What we live on now to have it available in those future years doesn't compare by half. But, when you finally see the big picture at the end of all those years of hard labor, it begins to look pretty nice. It's certainly something to look forward to.
