My first boyfriend told me that every couple had a special song, and so we choose You've got a Friend by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway as ours. Whenever Mercy Mercy Me by Marvin Gaye comes on the radio, I remember the very first time we were every alone together in his apartment and it breaks back such sweet memories, Do you have a special song or a song that brings back wonderful memories for you either with a lover or someone or something special in your life, best answer requires more than the name of the song, it requires a comment about why it is so special to you.

Our special song was actually "chosen" by my hubby. We had been together for a little over a year, and lived in our little but cozy first appartement. We were lying down in bed, and listening to my hubby's diskman, to a mixed cd he had made. The song "From this moment" by Shania Twain came on, and he was so concentrated on the words, and told me "Baby, I want this to be our song one day" . I felt so happy and loved in that very moment, and was glad to see my boyfriend hint at a future wedding between us! He put it back on, and we both listened to it, cuddling and listening to the words, and at the end, he kissed me and i saw a tear in his eye, although to this day, he still denies it! I found this moment was one of the sweetest in all of our years together, and i'll never forget it!

I forgot to add, that when we got married, 3 and a half years after that special moment, we didn't even think of which song to dance to at our wedding. It was already chosen. And we danced to From this moment on, and this time, i cried too, and so did he, and didn't deny it :)

Nice post winterose! I rated you a positive for it. My huband and I have a couple. "You're my Best Friend" by Queen is one of them because we really pretty much are each others best friends. Sorry if it sounds sappy. Me and my best girlfriend have "A Country Boy Can Survive". It's one we play everytime we go out together and sing at the top of our lungs. And another close friend of mine and I play "B**ch" from Meredith Brookes because we carry all the roles in our lives that she talks about in that song. And it makes us feel pretty empowered.

I have soooo many songs that bring back certain memories over my entire life. They are too numerous to list! My hubby's song and mine is "Angel" by Aerosmith. He has Brad Paisely's "She's Everything" as the ringtone on his phone for my calls. Old 80's Madonna reminds me of my friend and myself singing and dancing around my room as kindergarteners, Matchbox 20 reminds me of my teens driving around in my car...as do MANY more songs! I spent tons of time in that car!! Memories...Memories!!

My favorite song is the RKelly song, I believe I can fly. The lyrics are so uplifting that I listen to the song every time I'm feeling low. There is so much life in that song that it never ceases to amaze me. I was teaching in college for about a year, before I decided to further my studies. My students were all fans of my sunny disposition. On the day of my send-off party, one of my favorite students asked me to reveal the secret of my 'all-time' high spirits. The question was sudden, and so only brought a smile onto my face, but then, more and more students started asking for it, so I sang them the song. The lyrics go like this : I used to think that I could not go on... And that my life was but an awful song, And then I learned the meaning of true love.. If I can see it, then I can do it, If only I believe it, there's nothing to it. I believe I can fly. I believe I can touch the sky; I think about it every night and day, spread my wings and fly away. I believe I can soar; I see me running through that open door, I believe I can fly. I believe, I can fly, I believe, I can fly. There were tears in the eyes of most people who listened to that song on that day. My own eyes were clouded over too. It's a really nice and inspiring song. I recommend it very highly. Peace and God bless!

Yeah, I know just what you mean. My boyfriend and I were together for twenty years. He loved to dance and always kept me up on the dancefloor. Our favorite song was Whip Appeal by Babyface. Whenever that song would come on we only had eyes for each other. We enjoyed many romantic nights with candlelight and that song playing a few times in the background.

I really don't have any special song rather should I say, I do have many favorite songs and each songs has its reasons and happenings in my life that's why that song became one of my favorites. I will give you the list of my favorite songs and its reasons wanna know it? Sounds interesting?:D Fallin, that song is for myself because its kinda sad but its fits my personality. Whenever I fall in love at first it feels happy but later on its feels really sad to admit that you've fallen for the wrong person. The song maybe, when I was in my college days that's the time when I accidentally fall for someone who is committed and each time I hear that song I tend to say..."Maybe its wrong to please love me too". But after that sad songs of course there is songs that makes my heart feel very happy. A tagalog song entitled Ako'y sayo at Ika'y akin, I like that song so much because that is the song when I met my special someone and I do like that because that is the song he plays on his guitar and really sounds good. So everytime I hear that song, It always reminds me of him. And lastly search is over by now, eventhough my search is not yet over I hoped someday that it will soon be over. I just like the song because of the lyrics and the tune.:P So how was it? Knowing my favorite songs and each reasons why I do like them? I hope its a bit interesting.

My husband and I have a song that is very near and dear to our hearts. A Moment Like This by Kelly Clarkson. This was our wedding song, that we walked down the aisle to and danced our first dance to. We love this song as it reminds us that you have to wait for good things to happen...wait for your moment. With all our obsticles that we had to endure thro out our years...our wedding and our mariage was our Moment...Our Moment to finally have everything come together and connect...a moment that started our life out right. Thanks for making me think about this...always brings a smile to my face :-)

Indeed! There's a song by Genesis sung by Phil Collins called "Follow Me". It was our song because at the time, we were making a tough desicion in my life...should I give up my wordly ways of make up, short skirts, open toed shoes, eating pork and live a holy and kosher life or should I forget about that and continue down my path? I chose to follow my husband and he said he'll follow me. Together, we're a team. If one of us falls in our path of life, the other one is there to pick us up and give encouragement. There has been times when I am all out fussing and he's there with a smile and a calmed voice to soothe me. Then, there are times when he's having his moments and I'm there to talk some sense into him. Now, this song has another meaning. When I was preggy with our child, I made a CD of my favourite music and listened to it day and night. "Follow You" was on it. "Stay with me My love I hope you'll always be Right here by my side if ever I need you Oh my love. In your arms, I feel so safe and so secure Everyday is such a perfect day to spend Alone with you. I will follow you will you follow me All the days and nights that we know will be I will stay ith you will you stay with me Just one single tear in each passing year..." As Little Man was being born, I had that CD playing in the background. He emerged out into this world with this song playing...that's why I love it so much.

In 1975 My sis(who is no longer with us)and I drove a step van from upstate NY to LA california. We had an 8 track player and listened to Michael Murphy singing Wildfire,Old Dessert Rat,and that whole tape over and over all the way singing at the top of our lungs.Hearing a song from that album can reduce me to tears in a hurry.....She has been gone almost 22 years and I so so so miss her.
