My cocker spaniel.

My cocker spaniel, called Merlin, is 12 years old. He is fit and healthy and still runs around like a puppy. Is this a good age for this breed of dog? How old is your cocker spaniel?

He is so cute!!!!I don't have one myself....but I've known one that lived to be 18 years old. If he is in such good health at this age....I'm sure he will be around for quite some time.

Thank you for your comment. I am glad when people like Merlin. Cocker spaniels are lovely dogs. I was worried that he was getting old. It is great to know that some have lasted 18 years - it puts my mind at rest. My children are now going to University so I don't want to lose my dog just now too. You had the best response to my post.

i have an almost 2yrs old amercian cocker spaniel (his birthday is on 25 May) I must say cocker spaniels have endless burst of energy, anytime anywhere u wanna play with them, they will gladly obliged.
