Watching the movie i saw that Frank Miller has done an excellant work as he transferred the real history in the cinemas. Thank you Mr Frank Miller for telling the truth without changing anything as others have done in the past at Troy and Alexander the Great.

I think Frank Miller is very proud for the greeks. Look at the persians, oh God... Xerxes is somehow like a lady... All his men are very-very fictional, a butcher with his two arms cut and replaced for a blade? I think a movie still need a 'glitch' in the story like Troy and Alexander the Great, just for eye candy.

Actually I've had the chance to grab a press kit pre-released for the 300 movie for film critics. And the movie is really fictional but based on a real story in history. Frank Miller wanted to stick to his story in the comics so we got to see those giant elephants and other fictional characters, he even said that he knows that the happenings or scenes in the movie are not accurate at all. So I think Miller's way of telling a story made me grasp the true essence of the spartans instead of watching a movie which tries to stick to the accuracy of history.

I'm not a Greek but I find the Greeks really awesome! I've also seen the movie and it was really moving! You must also read the book version, or another re-telling of the accounts written by Steven Pressfield entitled "Gates of Fire". Spartans RULE!!!!! ;) you must be really proud of your roots!
