80,000 mile emmissions check up reminder light

I just bought a car couple of months ago. Its a 98 white honda accord and i got it for $5000. I paid in cash. I didnot want to go for a loan. But let me tell you... I am paying soo much for insurance, gas, workshop and all misc things.. i sometimes feel that i should not have bought a car and sometimes think about the comfort i enjoy while riding it. Ofcourse, thats only on the day it runs without any trouble. I had couple of bad times with the car and many good times also. I really dont know about the emission check up light. But, my car has a check battery light on always.
