After 1 month in mylot, I have earned myself a pint of Häagen-Dazs Ice-cream :p Other "benefits" I have reaped include :- 1) made few friends. In the past, I don't make friends easily. 2) write more fluently than before. In the past, I have problem expressing in English and spelling. 3) able to think and respond instantaneously after reading the topic. In the past, my mind goes blank after reading the topic and I just give it a miss. 4) able to gauge the feelings of my online friends. In the past, I am "immuned" to other people's feeling. 5) keeping to my goal of doing at least 10 response per day. In the past, there are only paper goals. 6) frequently thinking about mylot and what unique discussions to post. This is my new hobby :) Friends, I guess you have enjoyed participating in mylot as much as I do. Do you find after participating in mylot, you have made some improvements in your personal development? What have you learnt or gained in my mylot. Kindly share with us. Tangible or intangible, all are welcome :p Thank you.

Its good to hear that you are enjoying more and more here. Just seeing your bighead getting bigger and bigger said it all. I started here at mylot in full gear and real excited. But with the hurricanes I encountered this past few weeks, I'd say I'm getting a little bored and my excitement is slowly waning. I honestly try to enjoy myself but my heart is not where it should be right now. I guess I need to take some few days off. Since joining mylot, I think I had aged 10 years here...LOL!!!

Is it because of the carrots you have been chewing? Try organic ones. They are good for anti-aging :P

I have learned alot from here. It is always nice to talk to people from differnet countries, different cultures and with different experiances. I am not sure how much i have earned in te 3 months I have been here but it´s close to $90 atleast and that is not too bad. Today I will have a shopping-spree on ebay *lol*

While I always knew there were other countries and other cultures, I had never really and truly stopped to consider the vast differences! I have learned so much about other cultures. Something that never ceases to amaze me is the diligence with which those from other countries persue the ability to communicate in English. There are people on this board from other countries whose English skills are better than my students who are native to the US!! I have become far more tolerant of those whose views differ from mine, maybe not MORE tolerant, as I have always been tolerant, but more educated about reasons for being tolerant. Lastly, I have sadly become painfully aware of what terrible writing skills I have!

I'm glad you've been having fun! Mmmm..ice cream! I dunno..it's helped me learn new things. Sparked my imagination..helped me create new sites lol. Given me a few laughs..these awesome black fingerless fishnet gloves *holds up my hands with glee* A new Basara manga. Helped me come aware of some really lovely people. Given me a little more confidence in myself.. I dunno, I guess it's been little things here and there. ^_^

hey great going WhyaskQ. I just joined mylot like i joined other few sites and groups. i left some half as i could continue or lost interest in them.. meanwhile i got into this big one. donno why i started loving the discussions responding to them and posting. as my earning started moving and star rating improving i couldnt justtake back myself from being at mylot even a day. yea the posts and responses made me and keep my mind quotient level hyperactive to post something interesting. friends whom i made are wonderful and appreciate greatly with the efforts they are making. and you too. :)

I am enjoying it also. I'm seeing the same faces responding to discussions, so getting to know these people and what they think and feel a little better...so that is cool. I try to post at least 10 discussions a day also. Is this helping my personal development? LOL! not sure...it keeps me on the computer and I'm having fun!

Oh I just love Häagen-Dazs Ice-cream, it is one of my favourites. My typing speed has improved but the typos haven't. I have made lots of friends and I exchange emails with some of them on a regular basis. My goal was to respond to at least twenty of my friends topics every day, but I now have so many that if I take a day of such as I have done this weekend, I am finding it very difficult to catch up. However, I am enjoying every minute of it even when I have to stay up for half the night to do my reponses.

I too have enjoyed being at Mylot for the 6 weeks I've been here. I've made a lot of friends and responded to a lot of unique discussions with every topic under the sun lol. I THINK my typing has gotten better. I still only use 2 fingers, but I must be doing something right if my earnings are anything to go by. I can't believe that your English was bad before lol. You're VERY fluent and I've always found it easy to understand whatever it is you've said to us, whether it be discussions or responses.

Yeah, I too have liked making friends and learning new things everyday.Well, I wasn't immune to people's feelings, but it's not too bad to be immune at times. Perhaps I am understanding some cultures better than I did.Yes, I like thinking of discussions to post on Mylot and it's actually very interesting to hear from my friends and know how they think.I like being here. It's quite relaxing and entertaining.

for me my lot is just a past time, I enjoy reading the discussion and have made one really good friend, but it is just a forum, I just have to make sure it doesn't take me away from my actual writing and making money from it.

hello there just like what ive share a few minutes ago. myLot has been like a shrink to me. and it is also a kind of group therapy where in you can share anything under the sun. and it helped me a whole very lot since all of my friends are busy and in myLot though people are very busy they still have time to share their thoughts and feelings and how they can help me.

I guess timing is an issue. For online forum, we have friends across international borders, and hence international time. While real friends may be sleeping, we have online friends attending to us. Isn't it wonderful?

There were some problems with me too but I got more relaxed when I joined mylot. I made very good friends here on mylot ( you are one of them ) I'm improving my language as you are . Yes improves my intellectuality and I'm capable of answering anything. Only 10 responses that's too low you should get around some 30-50 responses daily. Yes mylot is my hobby too. I can't share the amount but yes a litre of petrol I have per day from mylot.

Ya. you are a good friend. mylot is a hobby and I have limited hours on mylot. 10 responses is the daily min. On average, I attempt about 20, more if I can steal time during the day.
1 Apr 07
I have only recently joined MyLot but it seems a great place. I started to try and make some money but have found some interesting discussions and now I spend much more time here than I really should. There seems to be some wonderful people here ready to assist other members and it fills my heart to overflowing feeling the goodness here. I find it difficult to communicate with people so being out of the house is frightening for me but when I can think about what to say whilst typing and alter it before posting, things seem much simpler. I hope it will help me build my confidence.
