Why we always dream about different place, other than the place we live?

I would like to move and I have so many places on my mind. Don’t take me wrong, I love Chicago, but I can not handle heavy Chicago winters. I am thinking about mild or warm climate with a lot of sunshine and place without tornados and hurricane. It has to be over the sea or ocean. I would like to have small house by the sea. I love Aruba Island, but I was thinking about location with lot of entertaining options. What would be your choice?

I think you should check out Portland, or Seattle, or Capitola Ca., or Santa Barbara Ca. These are places I've been too, and think they are worth checking out.

I doesn't have to be different country. Many people mentioned Portland or Seattle to me. Is it warm? I have been in Santa Barbara, it is very nice. California is very expensive.

I would live in Italy. I love Europe, I would not move to a much different place. I would move to Italy, because I like the Italian life style and thinking. I love the language and the Pasta :D I love the the way as the Italian people gesticulate, when they are talking. Capisci? :D I would live in France too, but the French people are very closed, they do not accept the foreign people.

I live in Alberta Canada, and feel the same way, after putting up with winter for 60 years,I am maro than ready to go somewhere warm, but not that far,I figure,Navada,Arizona,or Mexico. I will still come home for the summers, but at the first sign of snow,it will be good bye.

I am not sure about Nevada and Arizona, because there is no sea. Mexico, maybe, but security is an issue. Alberta, Canada? very cold, I wouldn't be happy there during the winter.

Actually,Alberta is not that bad, once in awhile we get to minus 30,the odd time to -40,but for the most,it will not get much below -15,and in Calgary,we get a lot of chinooks, where you will be -10 with a foot of snow, then an hour later,be 30 or 40 above and the snow melted. but then we do get crazy weather, but it is not like it used to be.after all this time,I just want to be away from any of the snow. as for the sea or ocean,Vancouver B.C. isn't to bad,but I don't like the government. I would realy prefer to move to California, but it is far to exspencive for me.thats why Nevada or Arizona. I look at the fact, that from Arizona, you can drive to Mexico quite easy, not a long drive. I wish you luck in finding your spot.

Maybe you don't like Canadian government; at least health system is much better in Canada, while in states you can go broke after one doctor visit. I was thinking about places with good health care and good standard of living without huge prices.

I am in northern Ohio, so I know what you mean by the cold winters! I plan to move somewhere warm, after my youngest daughter graduates from high school (4 years). I prefer the eastern coast of USA, because I am terrified of earthquakes. For them, there is no warning. For a hurricane, there is warning, and there would be time to get to safety. Which would mean, coming back to visit the kids during a warning. So, I don't have ONE place pinpointed, only an area. Good luck to you.

Well I lived in florida for few years and I got bored of that nice weather. I stopped feeling that year starts and year ends. I like 4 seasons, but I am still complaining about cold in winter:) I will always complain - too hot, too cold:) People makes my place and not the place itself:)

When the company I worked for back in 1997, moved to outsourcing, and all except three directors were made redundant, I was forced to make a decision. I was considered too old to get a job in Melbourne or Perth, so I moved to Thailand, where for the past nine years I've been teaching English, and living a very relaxing life close to the sea. I would have retired by now if I were still living in Australia, but here I hope to be contracted until the end of next year. It's a great life. Good luck polachicago. Make a decision, if you don't try then you will die wondering what if.

well, you dream always about different places other than the places you live, because: you never lived there. Its that simple most of the times. Only very few people have a dream to live in an other country or state and when they are there, they really are happy there and only there. They simly were born in the wrong place. However, most of the people who dream to live in an other country or place simply have these dreams because they have false imaginations. As soon as they relly live there, and not only for holidays or some weeks, they start to think very different about their own home. This happened to me when i moved to Brasil, a place i alwayws dreamed about. Sun, beach, never cold, beautiful girs, great nature... I grow up in Germany, so all these things seemed to me like paradise. I lived 4 years there, and now start to dream about Germany, in exact the way i dreamed before about Brasil. I dream about snow, cold refreshing weather, low criminality, good social system, different seasons. All things i never thought have any impression on me before.

well my dear friend I must admit that I am happy here..I mean I love Rome and I am loving more this city each day...this is the reason why I am looking for a good job here ...this is the reason why I am scared about the idea of having to move to another place or even to another country because of work..if I have to choose a place other than Rome, I would live in a warm place near the sea..I am always saying I would end up as a doctor treating people suffering from headache because of too much sun in the Hawaii.....what do you think about my idea?

I've always wanted to live by the water in Maine with lighthouses around.Aruba would be nice or Hawaii, either one with sandy beaches, it seems like a completely different life.

Whenever I dream of moving, Hawaii, comes to mind. Although I think they have quakes there. As for entertaining options I think it would probably be ok. My dream is to live at the coast. The fresh air, long beach walks etc. If I can I would love to retire to George in the Cape Province in S.Africa. There is know earthquakes etc there and the crime rate is very low. It is beatiful although rainy in winter. I love the rain though!

oh. the dream to me also is the very strange thing.i never think that the dream is no any meaning to somebody.many times i find that the dream can info us something but we difficult to understand.when something happened,we usually feel a flash in the deep of the mind.we sunddenly understand the relations between them.that's the dream.

It is very simple that, if we buy a bicycle then we eager to buy motor bike, after thet car, after that luxuries car.... life is like that we always want upgradation in life. So my suggestion is first u go and enjoy the place which u want and then u go next place which ever u like, in next vacation... Bcoz in a single day we cant able to roam whole world.
