I live in the US so I can help you with English. As a matter of fact, English is my best subject! (Forget that Math stuff!) I have never really thought about learning the Chinese language before but I will help you if you help me! I don't know how to read or write or even speak Chinese or Mandarin so I would be very far behind you. But I think it would be fun if you want to teach each other! if you don't understand,don't hesitate to ask.some chinese seem to feel that it is not impolite to ask questions even when they don't quite understand.however,it is much better to say that you don't understand than to pretend you understand and answer very vaguely.when you don't understnad or haven't caught what was said,you may ask by saying any of the following. "i beg your pardon." "i am not clear on what you said." "i am afraid i don't understand you,would you mind saying it again." "i sorry i don't follow you." "could you repeat that?" "i didn't get it." you will improve your understanding and the speaker will be happy to make his point again.
