Its almost that time of year again.Just another month left of school. I am trying to figure out things for my children to do so that they won't be so bored. We always do a little bit of school work everyday but I want some different physical activites for them to do. Is their something that you and your children do in the summer that is really fun?

Last summer I was lucky enough to stay home with my son. We took advantage of all the summer freebies. AMC has a morning movie once a week, the library had free crafts and reading sessions a few times a week, the librbary also sponsoder visits from the local zoo and various artists, even the local baseball team had a free game or two. If you have your kids, Barnes & Noble offers various reading sessions during the week as well. They key is to read the newspaper or weekly paper that outlines all of the activites for the week. You can contact your local library for a list of events they have and other resources they may have. You could sign you kids up for swimming lessons, park ball, and mini camps. Another idea is to come up with a project that you could work on once or twice a week with your kids that would be complete by the end of the summer.

Those are all great suggestions. We live in a very small town less then 300 I believe so no sports are played here. But we do go to the library a couple times a week. Thanks for the great suggestions.
